Just a Capitol Girl

Charlotte watched the people busing around the Capitol. Most of which, looking forward to the Hunger Games coming up again. Or, they're at least looking forward to watching it anyways, no one in the right mind would ever enter this game. Then again, people were randomly chosen. Though, it made her wonder, was she in the right mind? She wanted to join these games, even if it was to just get away from everything. She was sick of being a city girl and wanted to be something more, she knew that there was a more adventurous life in store for her, which is why she wanted to join the games.
Her family, on the other hand were less then exited about her dream. Her brothers were worried that she'll actually get in, and her parents... aren't usually there to say anything about it. But, if they were, she was sure that they wouldn't allow her. But, as of that time, her brothers could do nothing to stop her. It wasn't like she had many friends to go to. Other people her own age weren't very fond of her. The girl was too quiet, she didn't stand up for herself, and she was too easygoing for her own good. She knew that it wasn't fair, but by the time she grew a back bone no body wanted to be her friend anyways. She didn't care too much though, friends would slow her down anyways. It was odd though, a sixteen year old girl without friends. Without any friends, not too many people have ever heard of such a thing, it just wasn't a very usual occurrence.
The girl shrugged it off, she didn't care what other people thought of her anyways. As she walked along the sidewalk she followed no one, but for some odd reason her feet lead her to the place she wanted to be. She wanted to be at the training grounds, but she didn't want to just visit, she wanted to be there in the games not watching the games, and not visiting them. She sighed taking everything in. Why wouldn't anyone want to be a part of it? She couldn't think of a reason, but that was only her. Everyone overlooked her, a capitol girl. That's all she was, but she refused to believe that that was all she was born to be, the girl shook her head. She was meant to be something more, but not knowing what was hard for her.
Charlotte jumped hearing something behind her. "H-hello?" She asked timidly. She wasn't used to anyone following her, or maybe they were there to just take in what will be fuller, either way she didn't want anyone to be unknown around there. There weren't many people, and she wasn't the most skilled fighter. "Wh-who's th-there?" She asked biting her lip looking around for something to grab in case she couldn't get away without fighting it, whoever or whatever it was.
