Ice cubes slipped off each other in a bucket upon a bed. With the brightness of the sun flowing inside the room, the frozen water solids would melt soon enough - if not crunched on. Everything was thrown into a dazzling ray of light and white; and, off in the distance to be seen from the window, the ocean and the gulls could be watched, doing their activities the same as when the wedding guests and couple were aboard the vessel. Soft winds slightly shook the palm trees around the area. In the room were common essentials for visitors of Piscatus Isle: a desk to do work on, beds, an overhanging bulb, and a closet. Bathrooms and showers could be found in the hallways.

Peering - or glaring - up at the ceiling, Nil crunched on some cubes without thinking much. She would slowly chew, thinking nothing about the process. In a way, the biting calmed her down - even if slightly. With the notion that dinner could be arriving soon, the dark-skinned girl did not particularly want to visit the gym yet. while burning calories was not the factor that influenced the decision, the District 7 girl had the feeling that exercising after some grub would be optimal and present better results than to punch and kick before. In the end, she would not feel bloated; the possible feast ahead and her poor status might invite some cellulose and digestion problems.

Nil thought about nothing but the potential visit to the gym. Once dinner arrived, she would go there. "Screw talking." Thoughts turned to the darker-skinned male, her half-brother named Jaeman - and his plans for the evening. Perhaps he would be talking to some individuals or go for a stroll through the wooded areas around the hotel. Unlike Nil, he was a little less careful around people and smiled a whole lot more. To her, around the crowds, there was no reason to smile for; and, people were just nuisances.

Clicks from the door erupted, and Nil averted a cold attention to the intruder. One blond girl entered in, and immediately introduced herself as a 'Mahi Fisher'. Nil followed the girl to her bed with blue orbs and silently gave a huff. She took another ice cube from the bucket and crunched on much like a carrot. "Nice name." Discreet eye roll. From a strapped bag, the 17-year old withdrew a full water bottle and took a few loud gulps, without a prominent care. A sleep over? Wow. This is certainly going to be the shits.

Obviously this 'Yucca' had some lack of confidence, Mahi thought to herself. Normally, she would exploit it right away, just because that's how Mahi was socially. One could describe her social actions to other girls as piranha like. If forced to tell the truth, the girl would probably say that she just did this to look cool, but that would be a lie. Mahi Fisher was popular, no matter what she did, based solely on her looks, yet she was still afraid to lose this eternal popularity. Being that this Mahi had never been in a life and death situation before, she never really had found how to be nice to people, only a bitch to them. It even was a surprise that boys still liked her, well, it actually wasn't. If boys wanted a girl because they had a good personality, Mahi, being a huge bitch for a 14 year old, would never be liked, but that is not the case. Boys are attracted to girls based on looks, Mahi knew that and took advantage of it.

Mahi could guess that this 'new girl' was somewhere around her age, maybe a year younger or older, but definitely in her range. If this other bitchy girl wasn't in the room right now, she would probably already have crashed that other girls emotions. She needed to establish dominance over that other girl, the one with the name of some vegetable. The one already sitting on a bed looked like a total bitch, but not in the way that Mahi was, just in the way that she would take no shit from anyone. Mahi made a mental note to be as nice as possible to this 'Nil' girl if she wanted to get home in the same state that she was now.

The girl thought that she probably should respond to the withered vegetable girls questions. After all, Mahi did have no clue a girl with that little confidence could stand up on her own, "Hi Yucca, I'm Mahi, thats Nil... I'm from district four too, what a surprise...." Every time her voice seemed to get cheery, she brought it down into a somber tone. It was awful how Mahi was trying to crack the girls emotional shell, and she knew it, but she still wanted to see what this girl was like. None of the bullshit that Mahi sometimes put out herself, just the real person inside there. Mahi doubted she would find it before that vegetable had a mental breakdown, but she wanted to. Mahi never failed at getting she wanted, and she would not break that streak now.

Putting herself down on the bed closest to the window, Mahi wondered why she even came again. This bed felt awfully compared to her bed back at home, on the mainland of district four. It felt like rocks were under her body, not fitting to her shape at all. Giving her no comfort Mahi sat up again. She decided that she would not get a good rest for the duration of the time that they would be here. This raised her thoughts of wanted to be home. Even though the island was beautiful, everything else about this wedding sucked. The bride and groom could have had it in district four's mainland, like my mom and dad did, but of course, they had to do something special. Idiots.

Yucca's voice, as far as Nil could tell, seemed to ring a little bit of a vulnerable accent. While not per say 'weak', the politeness in the tone and how patient seemingly she was had a nice feel. Nil stared at the newcomer blond, scratched the side of her head, and sighed inaudibly, some form of relaxing. Usually, even to the kind and gentle souls, the District 7 girl would be on her edge, spitting sarcastic comments left and right, and sometimes having them ditch her with disgusting looks on their faces. Surprisingly, the darker-skinned girl was easing up with Yucca, shrugging off her earlier resentment of all things living and breathing.

Except for Mahi. Perhaps this is where Nil Rosewood found Yucca tolerable. Something in Mahi's voice slathered with sarcasm and trying to stand above everyone else. Even though she did her share of cold words herself, Nil snarled inwardly towards the first girl that entered the room after her. She - the blond named Mahi Fisher - seemed to the District 7 girl someone that would want to step on her terrain, tell her what to do, and attempt to toss her around as though Nil was a slave to her demands. Everything had to do with the tone and the facts. Right now, the sarcastic woman was not forming a good opinion for the younger-looking roommate that - she thought before - could be a bitch in every sense of the word, from standing to social situations.

From the bedside and apparently out of the picture, Nil watched the interaction between the two blonds. Yucca replied with the sweeter, inquisitive voice that - while Nil did not exactly like upon first impressions (but she hardly liked any) - quite contrasted with Mahi's point-blank, snobbish statements. Who gives a flying fuck for your dad's money? I sure don't. 'Socialite's kid', yea, like, that's appealing for every event. While thinking, the girl crudely removed all footwear and socks with her feet, getting herself all relaxed and cozy in the hotel.

None of Nil's blue eyes faced the two during the shoe removal or talking. "Oh, wow. Your dad is really one of those fancy shmacy guys? That's greatttt." After taking off the socks and shoes, she continued to not look at either of them while commenting. "I know just about everyone enjoys a person that won't ever shut up. Really. I'm serious." Pale-blue eyes rolled. "I bet your dad can just buy your ass into anything you want. Even some small jeans. Whatever. Rich folk. Whatever." Finally, her glance landed themselves on the two of them, more towards Mahi. "Life is just so much fun with money, ain't it? Getting to do whatever you want."
