~Jana~
Jana stepped out into the cold night air with the first aid kit in hand. Dominic still had those class shards digging into his back, those had to be treated, his eye could use something to help with the swelling. Then there was Landon, who could very well have a busted jaw from the punch to the face he'd received, his voice was funny, but she couldn't tell if it was out of anger or pain. They needed to stop brawling each other and get patched up, but the real damage was already done. Landon and her father had broken Jana's trust in them after the way they reacted to her announcement about Dominic. Nothing they did could ever completely make up for what they did, but she doubted they would even try, because they truly believed they were right, and she was a fool for loving the schizophrenic.
Landon's eyes flashed through a few emotions when he looked from Jana to Dominic. He could plainly see the concern and emotion written on Jana's face, she did really love Dominic, not him. And that only made him angrier. He'd known her longer, their fathers were best friends, why the hell would she choose Dominic over him? It didn't make any sense to him. But Jana had her reasons, whatever they were, and she was sticking to them. Knowing her as long as he had, Landon knew Jana could be as stubborn as anyone you would ever want to meet. So he would take his anger out on Dominic, for taking Jana from him. Taking a deep breath Landon took a step forward after Dominic took a step back. He wasn't ready to back off yet.
"No I won't."
Dominic didn't want to fight, but the voice did, and it ripping Jana apart to watch him suffer. Jana's eyes trailed over to Landon, who was faintly illuminated by the moon, and shop lights. He still looked ready to go, and her fears were confirmed when he rushed Dominic swinging. Enough was enough, Jana unbuckled her hatchet form her belt and once more got in the way of Landon's attack, but this time she was ready. Swinging her hatchet, she sent the blunt end into his gut, dropping Landon to his knees.
Staggering backward Jana glanced down at Landon, horrified at what she'd just done to someone she'd believed her whole life to be her best friends. But he had been trying to hurt Dominic, he'd made the attack first, she had had no choice but to try to stop him. And she had, but didn't know how bad she may have injured Landon. A small groan can from Landon who was clutching his stomach, but he didn't look like it was extremely serious. But she was more worried about Dominic. So following her gut Jana ran and embraced him, without thinking through the possibility that he could still be shaken, and not be completely safe to be this close to. But it was too late now, Jana was already there.
"Are you ok? We have to get that glass out and work on the swelling around your eye."
