"Believe me, no matter what I have to do, I love you, and don't really want to hurt you."
Dominic gave a sincere smile, though a hint of regret flashed across his emerald green eyes. If Jana had asked him to hurt her if she ever lost control of her sanity, he doubted he would have been able to. To injure someone you loved didn't go over well in his mind, seeing as the last time he had hurt a loved one it had led to their demise. The boy admired her courage to agree with his daunting favor, and in another silent thanks he put his arms around her in a hug, holding onto her tightly for a few long, warm moments before letting go.
Her next words made him shiver ever so lightly. The last time he had seen his own father was not a glorious sight: red had painted the grass in a sticky mess, bits of brain matter and skull fragments strewn about, the man's lifeless green eyes hallow and dark, staring into oblivion. He didn't quite want her dad to have to be forced to live with the fact that he was schizophrenic -- and not to mention very mentally unstable -- and had already murdered one of his own kin. To have those facts thrown in your face couldn't be all that pleasant, so Dominic could only wonder what it must feel like.
Tingles ran up his arm as she held his hand, running over his knuckles with her fingers. He turned his eyes downward at their hands, turning his own over so that he could gently hold her onto her fingers. Lifting her hand up, he softly placed a kiss on the back of her hand before lowering it back down, intertwining his fingers with hers. He still couldn't completely grasp the fact that she liked him -- loved him, as she had admitted, and he loved her too, more than anything in the world. It was such a wondrous feeling that overwhelmed him, though there was a darkening, fuzzy feeling in the back of his head. A feeling that he didn't quite know what it was, but the feeling of vulnerability ever so slowly began to subtly seep into his core. He was a bit worried about meeting this Landon fellow, though if Jana seemed positive about the confrontation, he trusted her with the situation.
((Wow... fail ending. x.x ))
