(Ridding one character to make another. This is just an overall open thread for whoever wants to post. It's just the funeral of a sickly girl that finally died out. She was boring anyways. Whatever happens in this thread won't be acknowledged by me. This is the end.
Good night, Belameane.)
Good night, Belameane.)
Sobbing continued even as a long, brown-wood casket closed tight. Such a morbidly happy day presented itself, the sun glowing as always without any of his cloud cousins to be nuisances. Black fabric and tears, they blanketed the atmosphere into a gray setting. Large cast of people were standing in the benches, pressing hands against their faces, weeping, salty droplets seeping through the cracks. Opposite of Capitol cheer and gluttony, the air smelled of staleness and a subtle taste of stagnant emotion. To the parents especially, nothing that entered their mouths would taste right due to the air, even mints or breath fresheners. Assortments of flora and potpourri could not rid the undetectable stench.
Funeral service was over. Very few left to go outside to calm down; the other supported themselves by human contact and sharing of words. Talk included the girl's failing immune system and lack of necessary drugs, despite the money being there. Her health was always dropping; it was only hesitant to fall to a fatal low because of the medication impeding progress. Conversations stopped abruptly at the mention of the body gradually being unable to cope with the attacking viruses, shutting down.
She was in so much pain.
With the coughing and wheezing, the black-haired girl could not keep up with life anymore. This was the end. They had accepted the fate that Belameane Jives was no more. Even her friend Ralve Benzene could not save her from this fall. Gradually, as time passed, the crowds inside the building would dissipate; the most devout would follow the casket to the burial grounds, after waiting for the crying mother and supporting father to leave.
Such a child only died at fifteen years of age.
