Code Lyoko was a French pseudo-anime cartoon that employed both 2D and 3D effects. The plot was about these kids that would go into the virtual world to stop an evil virus named X.A.N.A.. They fight while also finding an escape for an AI named Aelita out of the supercomputer that transports them into the virtual world, Lyoko. 2D effects was for the real world, such as the school, and 3D was for being in Lyoko.
It was quite amazing and is still quite cool to look at to this day. It's not just the visuals; it's also the characters. They all had a deep feeling to them, in my eye. Unlike the shows I can name from the top of my head now, they would reference past episodes, plot, and make references about our world. Just everything was so... amazing. To me, at least.
This fanfic/ripping-of-original-content(?) takes place twenty or less years after the events of the show. It really won't make references to a great portion of Code Lyoko's plot and main characters, as no one would know about it. (Read: secret stuff). This stars a new main cast and will have a relatively few returns of support cast. Yeah; I'm keeping a few staff, but I won't go for Ulrich or Sissy. Those kinds of people are out. Rather not touch.
Ending of the show will be a major impact and locations will mostly remain intact. Since it's set in the show's future, there has to be some construction, I would think. Minor stuff. Keeping realism.
Last words? Uh... I hope you like? If you were a fan, great! I hope you really like it. If you don't even know the show, I hope if you read this that you might watch it and like it as well. Not trying to advertise, though. ^^;

Disclaimer:Since I forgot to do this for a long time DxCode Lyoko, the setting of Code Lyoko, and certain minor/secondary characters of said animated show do not belong to me. I do not claim any concepts the show may have presented, minus the branching of concepts I may write in the fanfic. The characters of Chione, Silas, Lyn(ette), Lukas, Sue(lyn), and any not introduced/mentioned/present in the show do belong to me, however, as do their families, histories, personalities, etc.. Code Lyoko belongs to Moonscope and any associated companies.
