The Hob in district twelve was all hustle and bustle. The traders bantering could be heard throughout the black market and the smells of food were glorious. Even the old woman who sold the almost filling stew made it smell good. Some of the homeless population had gathered in the market to beg for money so they could get some food.
A relatively new homeless person sat down in a spot not 100 meters away from a guy and he starts yelling at her. The girl shows no sign of even bearing him and just goes about staring through her bangs at the passerby. She was somewhat grimy and dirty, but not from homelessness. It was from her home, that had been beckoning at her since she was a little girl. The forest was her home.
She shifted her sitting position, momentarily ruffling the brown cargo pants and the partially zipped up brown leather jacket. She heard the man walking towards her and soon saw his bare feet in her vision. The feet were disgusting. Most of the toes were already becoming frostbitten and they were all hairy. She didn't look up as the man began to speak.
"Okay newcomer, I don't know if you know this but...THIS IS MY AREA!" Spittle flew into the woman's face and a sly grin crept across her face. She stayed silent for a moment and then looked up at the man with piercing brown eyes. "Go fuck yourself."
The man whirled around, his arm outstretched, ready to deliver the smack that would never come. The man was slightly off balance and it only took the small movement of her leg to send the man flying headfirst into to the nearest booth. People were pointing and laughing at the man who had just had his ass handed to him by a newcomer. A small smile played across "The Wolf's" features as she looked at the damage she had caused with the movement of a single leg. She let out a howl of laughter that was more like a wolf's howl than a human's laugh.
The man extricated himself from the destroyed stand and dulled away while people looked on. The woman walked over to the man's old area and gathered the money he had been given. He had more than enough for a decent meal, but according to what she had seen and smelled, he seemed to have been saving for alcohol. She pocketed the money and began to walk to one of the booths when she felt like someone was following her.
She sped up the pace continued out of the Hob and into a relatively deserted Seam. She walked until she got into a small alleyway where she sat down against the wall of the alley, waiting for the person foolish enough to follow her.
