Lykos begins her daily soy pickings early being that the machine had broken down to what she believes was sabotage. she sees that the peacekeeper assigned to looking after them this day was the same one that gave her that awful scar a few years ago. She reaches toward her lower back to feel the long threadlike scar and shivers in fear.

I look around the soy bean feild and shiver in the coold. I think of the bad luck that soy mechine had to brake down on one the cooldest days of the year. There is a thin coating of snow on the ground to and my shoes are all wet. I look around and see that there is another worker not to far away from me and I silenly move over I could get in bi trouble for talking to some one else but I felt so board. I move down to the bush next to her and duck down picking the beans lowest to the ground. "Hello" I say in a whisper trying to keep the peace keeper from hearing me.
