The winter was coming to an end, but the wind was still as cold as ever and the leaves rustled in the wind. Danny had recently turned thirteen, and he was feeling a bit older, even though he was only a year older than last month. Being alone in the wild also made him more mature, someone you could depend on if needed, just two years ago he was as immature as any kid his age. He pulled out some berries, ones he been snacking on a week or so, but the juice was still tasting fresh. Truth be told, he was actually kind of lonely. He hasn't really made much encounters out here, in the wild. Danny went on and decided to make camp where he was. He took some tarp out of his bag, used some sticks that he find, and I guess it's easy to guess how he set it up. Inside the 'tent' it was warm, only because most of the heat was trapped in it.
He tried to go to sleep but the wind was shaking the tarp, making a weird noise. Danny got up and drank some water, had some more of the berries, and tried to relax, but he couldn't. He had a strange feeling that tonight wasn't going to be his normal night, in a good or bad way. He tried to lay back down on his bag inside his tent, but no matter how hard he tried, his mind was keeping him up. It was like this for a while, and he actually fell asleep for about a hour, but he woke up. Luckily, he wasn't one to fret over sickness, he didn't hesitate when he walked out of the tent in a jacket and threw up over a bunch of leaves. Danny had threw up before, and he knew that you don't normally throw up just once.
