I made a post about wanting to join someone if they were looking for a character like mine and then it was deleted. I don't really want to start my own, so how am I supposed to go join people if I can't ask them if they want me to join?

Hey, and welcome to the site! I take it you made a post in a thread with actual RPing going on, asking to join? Yeah, that's not generally the way to do it. You've got a couple of options here. You can start an open thread yourself, for people to join, and perhaps advertise it in the Open Threads thread in the character plot board. Otherwise, you can go to the character plot board and start a request for characters for a plot you'd like to roleplay, but haven't actually made a thread for yet. Then when someone replies, you guys can work together to come up with things to do in your thread before you actually start it. You can also look on the character plot board and respond to existing requests people have made, if your character fits the criteria they're asking for. Also if you see an open thread anywhere, you're allowed to just start RPing in it; that would be what the 'open' in the title is for.

If you really wanted to, you could PM someone asking if it'd be okay if you join their thread, but those are generally the more accepted ways to go about it^^

Actually no, I started my own thread cause I didn't want to disrupt anyone elses and it was deleted.

But yeah, thanks for letting me know about the character plot board. This place is confusing.

It's in the plot board. When you start up a thread, just make an intro. Describe the scenery in roleplay and everything -- someone's bound to join in after you post.
