Galaxy Exsaedia
Galaxy had only left the house today at her mother's insistence. She said her friends were coming over and she was sick of them commenting on how Galaxy did nothing but watch the Hunger Games. And, of course, she had to watch them in the living room. She had a T.V. in her own room of course, but Galaxy liked watching the Games on the bigger screen in the living room. She'd been so engrossed in the Games this past week, she'd hardly left the living room except to use the bathroom and get food. She was hungry now. Had she eaten breakfast this morning? She couldn't remember. As soon as she'd woken up on the overstuffed couch this morning, her mother had shooed her out of the house. Galaxy had hardly had time to take a shower, change her clothes, and put in a different glass eye. Today she wore an emerald green one. She hadn't had time to put on make-up today. She probably looked horrid.
Galaxy walked down the streets, peering into shop windows at crazy new outfits and new fashions. Was there anywhere to eat here? She couldn't remember ever seeing a place, but then she'd always been here to buy or look at clothes before, never to eat. She ran a hand through her short red and black hair, realizing she'd forgotten her headband today, as well. Oh no! She checked her pockets quickly, hoping that maybe, maybe...But no. She'd forgotten her money too. She sighed and looked up at the sky, a washed-out blue color with no clouds in sight. Well. She couldn't go back home to get her money, not until her mother's friends were gone...Which probably wouldn't be until tonight. So unless she found a friend out here today, she'd probably starve. Great.
Well, maybe someone would take pity her and buy her some food. But she couldn't just go up to someone and ask them for money. That would be weird. No one did that in the Capitol. Perhaps she should ask someone for directions to a place where she could get food, then ask them to buy food for her. She could pay them back later. No, that would still be weird. Galaxy had never felt so helpless in her life.
She moaned, then blushed as she realized the sound had escaped her mouth. She looked around to see if anyone had noticed.
