[/size][/blockquote]The air was thick with cold as Keegan roamed town with no real destination in mind. His boots made loud crunching sounds as he deliberately walked through what was left of the snow in in the streets. The clouds in the sky casted a gray and gloomy aura over the entire district, which really only had a small affect in Keegan's overly sunny mood. Though it was fairly obvious that most people he encountered on his little walk did not feel nearly as cheery as he did, but he didn't let them bring him down – okay, maybe they brought him down just a little. His smile faltered a little more each time someone gave him a dirty look. Apparently, it was a new law that all citizens of district three had to be grumpy on days of dreary weather.
He couldn't blame them, though. Any normal person walking this earth would probably feel the same way, though they'd probably only feel that way because of all the negative energy flowing from person to person. Maybe he actually could blame them after all. But what if sunny days made people upset and rainy days made people exuberantly happy? Keegan stopped in his tracks and pondered this thought. His eyebrows scrunched together and his focus shifted downward toward his shoes.
How different would the world be if the weather effected people in a completely opposite way than it actually does? What if the first sight of snow were the cause of tears of dread in children and cheers of joy from the cold and homeless? What if hurricanes made people want to run in to them instead of away from them? This new thought would most likely be swimming in Keegan's head for days. Natural human reactions to weather were so peculiar if one were to actually think deeply about it. Most people would probably slap Keegan upside the head and tell him to ponder something worthwhile, though. He shrugged the thought off for the time being and continued on his merry stroll, purposely offering a larger than normal grin at every soul that he crossed paths with.
