Appearance:
Meet Aénor, a seventeen year old girl from District Three. The first thing you would notice about a person would be their appearance, correct? Let’s start there. One of the most obvious parts of her appearance is her golden blonde hair that reaches to her shoulders. Her hair is naturally wavy, but not naturally blonde. Aénor was born with light brown hair but recently chose to switch to a brighter shade to rid her of the ‘creepy’ title her large silver-blue eyes, pale skin, and dull hair color earned her. She would even use the word ‘ghost’ to describe herself.Personality:
As I mentioned earlier, Aénor has large round eyes that permanently gives her a look of surprise on her face. Her eyes are large and bright. This is caused by the silver shade of blue that reflects a lot of light in her eyes. Short eyelashes mark her pale eyelids.
Aénor has a face, yes. You thought I wouldn’t get to it? Wrong. Her face is definitive in bone structure. Her chin is clearly defined, as is her jaw. The girl’s cheeks used to be full but smoothed out after losing a lot of weight as a young teenager.
Standing at 5’10” and 120 pounds, you would notice her weight off the bat. She is not very underweight, but underweight nonetheless from the lack of time to eat. Her pale skin is covered in freckles and her body is lacking in muscle tone completely. Aénor isn’t the kind of girl to get outside and get dirty; she tends to spend most of her time in the District Industry. This has caused her to lose most of the coloring of her skin. Working in factories nearly all of her waking hours has left her with dust covering her clothes, acne covering her face, and fingers numb from the years of damage from the electricity.
Aénor works all of the time, not because she has to but because she wants to. Technology is interesting to her, because it’s the one nice thing she can actually be close to. See, Aénor grew up at lightning speed; she never had time for nice things until she moved in with her grandmother. She was always busy doing for herself from what she taught herself. She cooked for herself and her parents, cleaned for them, doing anything she could to protect her family from the community home. She was forced to raise herself as her parents faded into insanity. She knew that she could never live in the community home. As the only people she thought she could trust left her alone, she grew wary of people.History:
Not wary, she began to distrust people all together. She trusts no one and talks with very little meaning. She’s a shell of a person, only living to work. It’s apparent that one of the only things she really loves is the factory. Machines can never hurt her emotionally. People always leave, but technology will stay forever. She also loves to write, always keeping a diary by her side. To you, her life may seem uneventful from a lack of human interaction, but she can always find comfort in her own words. Her writing is mainly creative; her secret fantasies of what it would be like to open herself up to people. Maybe she would make friends who she could really count on when it mattered. She would never dare make that a reality.
As with many people in District Three, Aénor has a genius level IQ. She also has a photographic memory. Hand Aénor a blueprint for a second and she’ll build it by memory (with a few enhancements from her skill and knowledge) as if she’d built it hundreds of times before. The girl learns fast and finding new skills are easy for her, but she has no interest in doing anything other than working in her factories. The factories have become a home for her, and home is where the heart is.
Picture this. A small girl stands in the line of the grocery store with a cart full of groceries that obviously can’t be just for her. You would notice that girl, wouldn’t you? Sure, people noticed her, and talk spread along District Three about the Kembry family. See, the Kembry family was a family who just were not quite right in the head. People say that Aénor’s parents used to be hot shot inventors, but after too many shocks something snapped inside their heads. As a small child, Aénor saw her parents transform firsthand.Codeword: ODair
Eventually, the life she lived with her parents began to become unbearable. She had to get help before it was too late. Fearful of the community home, she went to the only place she could think of. She asked her grandmother for her help, and eventually moved in with her. Her grandmother tried to take some of the pressure off of her, but the girl kept cleaning for herself. She kept waiting for her grandmother to ‘leave’ as well.
Her grandmother never did leave, though. It was Aénor who left, in a way. At fifteen, as Aénor realized that her intelligence was far superior than most of the kids in her school, she found a new way to use her skills. She decided to follow in her parents footsteps. As soon as she was allowed, Aénor ran to join the factory workers. She fell in love with inventing, spending the past few years creating whatever she could. She found something that she could use forever.
