Standing at 5'7" and weighing 123 pounds, Anya is pretty much the average size of a girl her age. A word in which is used to describe Anya by those she just meets; Blonde. From the first sight, Anya appears just to be your average blonde bombshell. She definitely looks the part, with her amazingly tanned skin and skinny hips. But there is far more than meets the eye when it comes to Anya Crider.

Anya's hair is something she takes very seriously, as any teenager would. Though she doesn't let her looks take over, she spends much time combing her hair to make it as close to perfect as possible. It is nearly completely blonde, with the exception of black roots that streak through her hair like a wall that divides two seemingly identical beings that scream to be with
each other. Anya prefers wearing her hair straight, but curls it during special occasions.

Anya's face is seemingly perfect; peaches-and-cream complexion, murky-green colored eyes, lip-gloss coated kissable lips, and a nose that isn't too big nor too little. But, in reality, that's all just what good makeup can do. A hidden scar snakes up her nose like an electric eel beneath the sandy surface of the ocean's depths. An accidental present from her father, which occurred whilst training. Mr. Crider pays for a gargantuan amount of makeup for his daughter, in fear that if Mrs. Crider discovered what happened his training facility would be shut down for good.

Despite her beauty, Anya's hands are the exact opposite. Multiple cuts cover her hands from mishandling new weapons, and her fingernails are horrendous due to the lack of nail polish and her horrid habit of biting them. Because of this, she usually crosses her arms in hopes to hide the bit of her body that isn't beautiful.

Anya's feet are in a far better condition than her hands, despite the occasional bruises due to kicking dummies in the Training House. Her feet are usually smooth, though, as Anya enjoys wearing comfortable flip flops every day instead of high heels as some girls her age prefer. Anya does have her fair share of wearing high heels, but only during party nights.

Anya's arms and legs are extremely tan, just as every square inch throughout her body is. They are fairly muscular from vigorous training sessions, but not too macho that others cower as she walks down the street. In fact, you can only see her muscles when she flexes, which she doesn't do often in fear that guys will think she is too manly.

Anya's usual fashion consists of flip-flops, a tank top, and short shorts. During the winter, though, she wears regular sneakers, long pants, and sweaters (preferably pink). Whilst going out to parties, she enjoys high heels with lacy, tight, and showy clothing. Although she feels extremely uncomfortable, having a reputation is something Anya strives for.

Personality:

At first glance, Anya seems like your average stuck up snob, with the looks, the friends, the popularity. But she is definitely more than that. Of course, Anya may seem like a total bitch to some girls at school, but those who are well inside Anya's personal bubble know for a fact that she can be kind at times and cares for her little brother more than anything in the world. They hardly ever fight due to Anya's extreme protectiveness, and siblings all over Panem look at them in awe for how well they treat each other, or at least they would if they could actually communicate with each other.

Anya may not be a genius, but she isn't borderline dumb either. She focuses her mind more on training and her body than academics and the like. Though not nearly as slow as Patch, Anya chooses not to try to her full potential. Too much work, and it would just add on to the stress that she experiences every day. Anya hates the excess work the Training Building causes her to do, and all she hopes is for it to end.

Anya's previous alcohol addiction still affects her today, though not as drastic, and she still tries hard to completely break free from the horrid habit. Because of the mistakes she made in previous years, Anya fights hard to protect Patch from anything and everything bad, while fighting her inner demons as well. A lot of work to do for a 17 year old pregnant girl, huh?

After learning she was pregnant, Anya knew she had to change her ways. She had to sober up, she had to be more careful; she had to protect her baby, even though it was only a mistake. Anya still struggles with becoming a better person, but she definitely tries her best. She can only hope her best will be enough to have a happy, healthy baby.

Ever since she was a small child, Anya has always had a devastating fear of water. One time, when her parents took her to the local pond to go swimming, Anya nearly drowned. She vowed never to swim again, and makes her baths as short as possible. Some people call her weird for fearing water, which Anya usually responds with ruining their social life by finding something even more embarrassing about them.

Origins

Anya Marie Crider was born on July 14th, the year of the 39th Games. Her parents, Hollis and Elisa Crider, started out their relationship hating each other. 16 year old Hollis pestered poor Elisa throughout the entire duration of high school. He claimed that she spent all of her time out side of school cutting herself, while in truth the marks were left behind by Elisa's older and only sister, Cleo.

Their relationship changed, though, after they left school and worked in the same factory together. Hollis apologized for his childish behavior, and asked if he could take her out on a date. She reluctantly agreed, still kind of angry at him for years of tormenting. Nonetheless, she had fun. After a year of dating, Hollis and Elisa finally got married, resulting in the birth of Anya.

At birth, Anya was an extremely calm child. She hardly ever cried, even when she was scratched or bruised from playing. Hollis always remarked that Anya never experienced pain, skills necessary to become the great fighter he knew she would be later in life. Elisa couldn't help but disagree, saying that Anya's lack of tears shows that she will be a great motherly figure because she can handle anything that is thrown at her.

Early Life

As Anya grew more and more each day, so did the Crider household. Anya would always catch sight of her father building something in her backyard while playing. Only occasional glimpses, but Anya knew it was something big.

Sometimes, she would see Daddy carrying many weapons into the building that frightened her so. Swords to shields, bows to boomerangs, Anya caught her father carrying various different weapons to the building. Anya vowed never to enter such place ever in her life. Little did she know that this very same building she feared would be the area she would spend the most in her life to follow.

On her sixth birthday, much to Elisa's displeasure, Hollis introduced Anya to the training facility he had built that would later be known as the Training House. Anya was fearful of her gift, as she had been all her life, but her parents made her train due to all of the time and money that was spent on it.

Anya's fear turned into a habit, as she trained and trained every day from then on out, including holidays and even her birthdays, even if for a reduced time. Soon, Anya was familiar with multiple weapons, and she still attempts to master them all today.

Patch

When Anya was 7, her mother and father approached her, grinning wildly. Anya questioned why they had such large smiles on their faces, and their response changed Anya's life forever. She was getting a baby sibling.

The gender was unknown as of the moment, but Anya knew, just something inside her knew, that it would be a girl. She began brainstorming ideas, such as "Pony", "Rainbow", and "Flower".

A few months after Anya turned 8, her baby sibling was born. Much to her dismay, it was her brother. Anya complained to her parents that she had spent all of that time picking out names and now none of them could be used. Her mother told her to list the names anyway, as there may be a few names that could still be used.

By the time Anya reached "Sunshine", Hollis and Elisa had given up hope. But then the little girl said the simple name "Patty Cake". Elisa's face lit up, an idea suddenly hitting her. "Patch" she said, deriving it from Pat which was derived by Anya's name Patty Cake. To this day, Anya occasionally calls her brother "Patty Cake" as a joke from her childhood. Anya had always loved her brother, and has a deeper connection to her brother than most siblings.

Downfall

Anya was 14 when the fighting began. Hollis continued overspending for the Training House, making the Crider family spiral downward, financial wise. Elisa was furious that her kids couldn't have good lives because of Hollis' obsession with the Training House in the backyard. Anya was left to hear the constant screaming of her parents and trying to save Patch from the fights that were always heard.

It all grew to be too much. One day, Anya bolted from the house with nothing but a sandwich and a 5 dollar bill. This quickly occurred to Anya that this wasn't enough, so she roamed the streets looking for anything to eat, as she vowed never to go back home. While looking down, Anya bumped into a slightly plump woman whose breath reeked with fresh wine. After being yelled at, Anya and the woman realized that they were related. This woman was Cleo, Elisa's sister.

After Anya told the story, Cleo laughed and invited her to stay at her house. She thought Anya reminded her of herself when she was that age, rebellious and not caring. While staying at Cleo's house, Anya got into something that she is still struggling to get out of to this day; Alcohol. Anya never could overcome the dangerous substance her aunt introduced her to, or the constant parties that inevitably followed. Soon, parties and drinking became part of Anya's daily schedule.

A few months after Anya turned 17, one party changed her whole life. After drinking a few bottles of hard liquor, Anya soon became drunk, her vision so hazy she didn't tell who was who. One thing led to another, and Anya proceded to have sex with a boy who is still unkown to her. This one night stand led to Anya's pregnancy. Anya's secret is known only to herself as of yet, and because of it she still fights hard to sober up and become an better person.
