So I sent Sam an PM a little while ago while we where coming up with a game plan outlining my knowledge of the bloodbath on this site as I've seen it and I'm rather proud of it. So since I like to show off and we've got our plan worked out I decided to share it with y'all too.
First a few pointers:
1) Don't rush in - it may be really exciting and you may feel as if everything happening before you even post but DO NOT just put a post up right away, once that intro post is up there you're fair game and if you're not ready for it you're toast.
2) Wait for allies - This kinda goes hand in hand with the don't rush in thing but getting attacked on all sides is a little less stress-making when you have a little back-up
3) Make sure you have time - be prepared to stay online from the time you post your intro into the bloodbath until your character flees, leaving your tribute alone is an easy way to get them killed even with the posting rule in your favour.
4) Watch who you attack - if you attack someone in a strong alliance expect to face the rest of them. Keep in mind any alliances/deals you've made. Besides that go nuts.
5) Know when to get out - an insta can happen at anytime the longer you stay in the more likely death becomes. Have a goal item to work to and be prepared to not reach it. Or have a set damage limit and stick to it.
6) Pre-write – write out your bloodbath posts before the actual day. While events may change what your character does have some set post ready to copy-past at a moments notice.
Ok now onto strategies
I've seen a three main strategies but each has it's advantages and disadvantages.
1) RUN! - this means you run (surprise) you post your intro then three post later RP your character getting the eff outa there.
Advantage: Almost guaranteed survival.
Disadvantage: No items, sponsor reliant.
2) Wait - wait until the vary last moment to post your intro and send your fresh tribute after all the battle weary people who are still left.
Advantage: pretty good chance at the wealth
Disadvantages: You'll need a large alliance for this to work best also if someone else does the same it just drags the Bloodbath on and gets people pissed at you.
3) Fight and Run - what most people do get in as soon as they can work to get as many items as possible then get out.
Advantages: items, and it's generally more fun to RP this way.
Disadvantages: Really likely to die
Pretentious Jimmy is pretentious lol. So there you guys go if anyone else has some valuable insight why don't you add it here too and make me feel less like a know-it-all know-nothing XD
