Velour Ophelia Tiffany
And we just shake em off.

In the string of rich families in district one, Velour's family tree graces one of the highest branches. Too bad this girl dosen't care. She gets everything wrecked, no matter what. At age sixteen she thinks its pretty typical for this to happen, but, no. It is not a common occurance.
I whip my hair back and forth
The thing about Velour is that she looks drunk or hangover, even without being either. She naturally has the type of awkward facial features that seem to glare from you from underneath a rock and say, "Leave me alone. My mind hurts."
Her skin tone is the first thing that gives that away. An old fashioned socialite type of skin tone: Pale, Pasty and Perfect; The three P's that were greatly honored during the Victorian times. For Velour, it lacks personality. But burning lacks even more personality, so she avoids the sun like the plague.
Her hair is blonde, another inbred trait that she finds a bit lacking of character. It is a yellowish yellow, less platinum and more of a mustard color. No, not gold. Mustard. The one thing that makes her sick to her stomach is the color of her hair. The texture is decent enough, though, slightly wavy and really easy to control.
Her eyes are probably her best feature, large and shaped perfectly. The color of hazel, they are fairly open and have thick eyelashes surrounding them; making them look more large and more angled, which adds to the overall appearance of her face.
Her nose is a slightly pointed nose. It isn't the most attractive nose by any means, but it gets the job done.
Her lips are rather small, usually curved into something of a pucker. They are light pink, and are almost circular in shape.
Her body is fairly slim, due to her Mothers intense schedule and her naturally quick metabolism. She finds her thighs to be large, though, and not slim like the rest of her leg.
Her clothes are in-style, and are usually a tee shirt of some kind (a trendy cut) with a pair of dark colored jeans and whatever shoes she can find in her mess of a closet.
I'll get more shine in a little bit...
Velour doesn’t care; about anything really. She's as compassionate as a slug, as caring as a tree. Her personality seems to be diluted by the inability to give other human life the time of day. It makes her seem lackluster in comparison to the rest of the children of the highly respected district one children. Her lack of caring towards another human being, or even an animal may be the fact that leads her to the rich-girl thing. Maybe she doesn’t care because of the lack of caring that was sent her way as a child. She is just simply ignorant towards other humans actions, words, and even their possessions. Unless they're new, shiny and have nice leather inside that is just perfect for trashing.
She is also possessive, an odd trait that comes along with not caring about things. If you are in possession of the said shiny thing, she will be absolutely greedy with the thing. She seems to have issues with letting the said items go; a big problem with her family, who is constantly replacing things to get "the next and the greatest" a quote that Velour is greatly tired of hearing. Sure, she'll let last seasons pair of jeans go, of course, but if her parents request to take back the shiny possession that she covets so much, she will retaliate at the first words and turn into a monster of a socialite.
Her public appearance is pretty much the same thing that her family sees: The type of girl that enjoys partying a bit too much, irresponsible with her possessions, and someone who doesn’t let things goes. The tabloids may discuss her in the paper, yet, she doesn’t care.
Because, with every negative trait, there is indeed a positive. Her self-esteem is built up so high; even the harshest journalist couldn't bring her to crying levels. She seems to have a tough outer shell that is nearly impossible to penetrate through, thus creating someone who can withstand criticism like nobody else can.
With a slight party girl attitude, she has had her fair share of socialite accidents. The time she tipped over the cake at Yvette Meleno's sweet sixteen birthday after she drank a little too much of that champagne. The night that her brother had bought her a new ankle cuff and SOMEHOW it got off of her ankle. She isn't a horrible drunkie, though. She knows how and when to limit herself, especially after the episode with Derik Teymen and the line dance. Oh, that was a pretty bad incident.
She is a slob. She doesn’t really care for her appearance, as long as her clothes are clean and in style. Other than that, her hair can be askew and her eye makeup could be smudged. No big deal, in her mind; since perfection always comes with a prize that is usually pretty phony.
The people she has to be with, to make her and her family look good in the circle of society, are not the type of people she likes, really. Though, she has to associate with them, just because their pedigree is as good as hers. She's pretty sure that they are bigheaded and really into herself, which can be said for her as well.
She cannot find faults in herself. It could be a way of saying conceited, but it isn't. She has a neutral way of viewing herself. Not positively, nor negatively.
One of the last points I will make about Velour is that she finds her name repulsive. She doesn’t like it. A fabric. Who names their kid after a fabric? She doesn’t go by a nickname, because it would be odd in her circle of class. It just wouldn't do.
Now whip it real hard.....
The third child of Necar and Pique Tiffany, Velour was the youngest of the three kids. Her parents were fourty when they had her, making her two brothers fifteen and eighteen when she was born, thus creating a tremendous age gap that made a huge difference in the way she was raised.
She was raised as the "baby" when she was doted upon by both her Mother and Father, who were aging and looking for something constant to hang onto in the midst of their years.
When she turned five, she was put into school, which she hated instantly. But, if her family had control over anything in the world, it was her social life, so she was forced to go to school to socialize with the rest of the snobby children who live more lavishly than the rest of the district.
Her life went on normally. Until she turned thirteen and was thus, introduced into society as someone who could be a pawn in the game of arranged marriages.
Of course, she was too young, but her parents were trying to get her in the habit of it.
They wanted the fortune to thrive, and to stay just as exclusive as if the group of twenty or so familys were the only people left on earth. Just like family tradition, as far as it goes back. Before the dark days, of course before then.
She was introduced, and then immediatley expected to socialize with nobody except for the snobby children and their parents. Of course, the occasional upscale store clerk wasn't a bad thing when you were discussing the rule on how to wear a scarf, but anyone outside of who they were obligated to talk to was frowned upon.
Velour rebelled against these rules time and time again, since she didn't care if her, now old, mother screamed at her from downstairs. She would just roll her eyes and go back to painting her nails the color of coal.
<Just whip it>.
