Ragnor Elinnson District 2

Ragnor is about 6'1" tall. Like many teenagers from district 2 he is in great shape but has less bulky muscle and more lean muscle. Ragnor has long brown hair that comes to a pony tail between his shoulder blades. He has striking green eyes, rather thin lips, with ears that stick out, and a small nose.

His beautiful face is marred by three scars, slashed across the shaft of his nose. The first scar goes from the top left end of his eyebrow to his right nostril. The second scar goes from the inner corner of his left eye to an inch below his right pupil. The third scar is half an inch below scar two and runs parallel to the scar and is the same length. Ragnor has multiple scars on his body from several large scars down his back to a scar on his right arm from when it was broken, he also has several scars on his fingers and hands.

Ragnor can often be seen in yellow t-shirt, brown pants, and brown boots.

Ragnor is a compassionate soul, he has really embraced the medical side of district two as opposed to the military side. Ragnor is an outcast with his fellow teenagers for refusing to train with the the careers. Ragnor is brave, having on multiple occasions defended the younger or weaker residents from the cruelty of some of the more military or career tribute oriented children and teenagers in district 2. Ragnor is unlike many citizens in the districts in that he likes the capitol because he dreams of one day being a doctor in a Capitol hospital.

Ragnor isn't perfect he has his flaws. Ragnor's will to help people is so strong that he'll put himself in danger to help others. Ragnor is stubborn as an ox, he refuses to take orders that contradict his beliefs, and will stick to his opinions till his dying day. Ragnor is hot headed and quick to start a fight especially with the career tributes in training. Ragnor is really protective of his friends and family, and it is because of them that he works so hard, and so tirelessly. Ragnor is very private about his home life refusing to share his problems with anyone.

When it comes to relationships, Ragnor is the guy that's oblivious to the girls who have crushes on him. Ragnor's not self absorbed he's just very focused on his medical career. It's not like Ragnor doesn't notice girls ever, its just more like he knows there are girls out there who he could be interested in, he just has his priorities in a different order. Ragnor loves his mother, and his siblings very much, and that is why he is working so hard to make his family proud. Ragnor doesn't want to be in the hunger games ever, he just can't bare to put his family through that pain.

Ragnor was born three minutes before his identical twin brother Colm. His parents are Marsey and Boyd and they had been married twelve months when he was born. Marsey is a history teacher at a school in District 2 and Boyd was a soldier working in the Nut. When The boys were five their sister Dehlia was born, and were just begging their training to become career tributes. For two years The twins lives were consumed by school and training, with little time left for fun. During this time the twins learned to fight barehanded, and spent much time sparring with others, and during this time Ragnor got his first scar in an incident during knife training, he was lucky to survive with his eye intact.

On the twins 8th birthday their father Boyd was fired from his job at the nut. This event left severely depressed Boyd, and he took his life. Marsey and the children were left dirt poor, which lead Marsey to desperately seek a new husband. Next year Marsey married a stone miner named Cliff, though Cliff seemed nice on the outside he was a cruel man, who regularly beat his three step children for sport, on one occasion he took a wire coat hanger to Ragnor's face and cut two deep wounds in his face. Ragnor tried to tell adults about Cliff, but nobody would listen to a 9 year old kid, complain about his new step parent, and as a result Ragnor clammed up and kept his family life very private. At first Ragnor coped with his pain through violence, constantly picking fights with older and stronger career tributes, until one day when his arm was severely broken, and he had to sit by while Cliff beat Dehlia, that was the day that Ragnor realized that he couldn't keep getting in fights because his family needed him and he was no good to them when he was broken. Ragnor took it upon himself to tend to his siblings, teaching himself how to mend their wounds, this was when his passion for medicine was born, and he replaced a majority of his combat training with medical training. Colm took the beatings to heart and used it to fuel his anger, he threw himself into his training and became a powerful fighter. One day when they were 12 Colm's anger got the best of him and he slit Cliff's throat with a kitchen knife. Colm was tried for murder and executed. That was the day Ragnor's childhood died.

Then on Ragnor threw himself into medical studies, and became a trainee doctor. Through the years he became more distant to his friends from his days as a career tribute in training, until he could barely remember their names, and even resented them and looked down on them. His resentment for the careers and the Hunger Games would lead him into many a fist fight with the careers. At the hospital he became knowledgeable in, first aid, herbal healing, and medicinal healing, as well as become extremely dexterous in the application of stitches and scalpels. Today Ragnor spends most of his free time treating patients at the clinic in District two and pursuing his studies as a medical student, also he recently resumed minimal combat training, and is now considered a talented medic, a capable knife fighter, an average fist fighter, and one of the fastest runners in District 2.

Marsey remarried when Ragnor was 15 to a doctor named Felix and is now pregnant. Marsey's marriage to Felix finally brought the family out of poverty and to a stable life. Dehlia is still in school and has become quite a talented dancer.
