Her mouth, which had been used to eat a whole 3 days ago, had gathered a thick line of slime along the walls and her tongue had not had any sort of liquid contact with it for just as long as it hadn't tasted any food. A hunger gnawed at her stomach, enveloped her around her knees and arm, and caused for a ferocious threat to collapse at any moment. She'd caught a rabbit, and after feeling on top of the world, she realized after a minute or two that the rabbit she'd demolished would only feed herself. She wanted to explain to her alliance that she'd tried hard, but after even more contemplation she decided it wasn't worth it. Even if she told them she'd tried to catch something and there was only enough for herself, it would be no different then telling them that she hadn't caught anything. She felt like she was useless, as if the only reason that she was still part of the alliance was because of the occasional good hit she produced. Perhaps people were intimidated that no one in their alliance had died yet, and that it had the highest chance of producing a Victor.
Her thoughts were jumbled as she tried to block out her voice. Her eyes struggled to open and the first sounds that she'd heard was the low sound of her growling stomach. A new day is full of opportunities. Make sure you analyze all of them. Your brain is str- It was all she'd heard before she forced them out of her thoughts again. It was not a pleasant event for her to wake up to the thing she hated most in her life.
But neither was realizing that two of her alliance members were gone.
Her eyes quickly shot open and, with her one arm, she pushed herself up to a standing position. She'd forgotten that they'd traveled to a new area of the Arena the following night, and the soggy ground around her wasn't pleasant either. It didn't seem like Day 3 in the Arena was going to be good at all.
Gage was gone, Gage. He was gone before Soyala had ever gotten to hug him or rub him or kiss him or lick his cheek. Seah was gone too, but it was not as b- She breathed deeply as Gage's presence wrapped around her again. She could feel when he was around, it seemed. Or perhaps he just had a unique way of walking. Aenor seemed to just be waking. "Why did you leave without telling me, I was wo-" she began, but she'd caught herself before she'd said the word. She was worried, but Gage did not know that she wanted him. "I was wondering where'd you went. That's all. Where's Seah?" she'd finished off. Like it was a recovery in a sport.
Sweat beaded down her face as her hand played with her shirt tail. It was easy to forget about the ridiculousness that seemed to be the tributes' uniforms that year. When she'd thought back to the previous night, she remembered 6 faces and 6 cannons, and she remembered that out of those 6, her alliance had killed 1. Which meant that either mutts were filled in the Arena, or the other tributes had became just as bloodthirsty as her alliance had been. But there were only 12 left, and only 11 until the voice could be gone. She'd decided that the riddance of her voice was the fuel to her survival fire.
And perhaps it would also be the fuel to the fight that had already came. For another alliance had appeared after she'd finally taken in her surroundings, and so it would hopefully be the time where she would become even one step closer to victory.
She remembered attacking one of them in the Bloodbath, Aenor had made him lose his hand. The others weren't so familiar. Hopefully she'd attack as good as she normally did in the mornings.[attacks Ludwig]

[Deep Gash on Right Bicep -- 8.0 damage]
And fortunately, she did. Her blade sliced deep into the boy's leg, and a flashback of the night which she so regretted began to play. But she'd pressed pause before she'd gotten too lost in it.
