The first thing when you look from head to feet is his hair. Black, like raven feathers from a distance. Not greasy, and not curly. It is very straight. It is long, going down to his shoulders in the back. Bangs and sides are very short though. No sideburns and no facial hair. Well kept, for an Avox. Especially one who used to like being so wild.

Then you see his eyes. Bright blue. Always laughing, like he knows something you don't. And the fact is, he probably does. But it's usually not funny. When you get close, it's almost like you could fall in, sort of like a well.

Moving down to the rest of his face, he's not very different. Only one thing stands out. His nose. It's slightly curved down, and is covered in freckles. No freckles, except on his nose. Most people see this as very odd, but he doesn't care. He only cares about his looks enough to not look horrible. Past that, he just goes with whatever look strikes his fancy. Assuming one does.

Then his main body. His arms and legs are muscled, but not overly. But he isn't a weakling in any way. He has long fingers, that are always tapping or fiddling with something. Especially things like watches. He disassembles and reassembles them without thinking. His legs are long, like a runner. If he's built for anything, it's speed.

Personality:

He is a strategist. Very few other ways to describe him. Every action has a purpose, and every action has a desired result. He does nothing without thinking about it. But he can think fast. He figures out what he wants to do with hundreds of different options going through his mind, but he acts in at most a second.

One of the other things to describe him is genius. Being in the best schools in the Districts from District 10 he had fantastic education, and he's naturally bright. Book learning isn't his only province either. Being a former rebel he was forced to learn about the real world, and fast. Sure he still read books like they would all disappear tomorrow, but he became sneaky.

But that's not the only thing about him, his smarts and how he operates. Nicholas is kind. If he sees anyone in pain he tries to help. He doesn't try to say anything biting on purpose without a very good reason. If he has that reason, then the bearer of his insult did something really bad. Except the Capitol. He could cuss them out all day. If only he still had a tongue.

These days he's rather bitter though. You may wonder why. It's because he's an Avox, forced to serve the people he hates so very, very much.

History:

Nicholas Jenning is, or soon to be was, Emma Jenning's sister. His parents are a big diplomat and a mathematician. His father was very distanced from him, because he was an ambassador to the Capitol part time. And of course, he was a rebel. One of the big ones in District 10, even though he was so young when his career was... ended. Forcefully.

When he was 7 he met an injured rebel. He helped nursed the man back to health, and in return asked to hear stories. The man didn't know that this kid was kid of a huge Capitol supporter, and so told him stories about the Capitol. Horrible stories, full of blood and grief. At such a young age, the stories where etched into Nicholas' mind. When he was told what address to take the man back to, he found the rebels.

When he first asked to join, they laughed and said he should get older. Well, when he turned 15 he asked again, and they let him in. Not right off the bat of course. He went through tests to see if he could be accepted, tests to see where he should go, and tests to see his current skills. He got a 180 on his I.Q. test, and wasn't to bad with his physical.

But not to bad isn't good enough. For the next year they trained him in tactics, battle field maneuvers, and sent him through physical training. He developed surprisingly fast, and then they asked what his parents did. They had only asked his name. Now that he was a rebel, they needed to know everything. That's when they decided he would be the perfect ghost operative. Basically a master of everything.

After a another half a year of training, they sent him on his first mission. Faked, but still potentially harmful. He executed the mission perfectly, every unknown danger assessed... and eliminated. Of course, he only knocked them out of the picture. But still, effectively eliminated. After a final year he went on many missions.

Then the big one came. His father wanted to take him to the Capitol, and so the rebels gave him a mission while there. Harder than any before. Infiltrate a military facility and steal the plans for a secret weapon. Everything that could have gone wrong did. He got the plans, but he was seen(wearing a mask), the alarms went off, and when he got back to District 10 he found out the plans were fake.

No one knew he was the one. Yet. After another 6 months the Capitol found him. At age 18 he was taken to the Capitol. A hostage. Tortured. And turned into an Avox. His life had been ruined. When he gets a chance, he'll escape. He's memorized his training, stayed in shape, and will wait as long as he needs for an opportunity.

12 years later Nicholas is still waiting.

I made him because I know Emma is about to die, but I still loved her general theme. His is still similar, but not the same. I already planned this from the moment I thought of Emma, but now I am bringing it out. (He was mentioned in Emma's bio from the beginning.)
