Age: 14
Gender: Female
District/Area: District 2
Appearance:
Ari is pretty short for her age, and way skinnier than she should be. She is 4'11'' and weighs 79 pounds. Despite her shortness and weight, Ari is a bit strong. Not strong enough to pick up really heavy weights, but strong enough and quick enough to scale a tree swiftly.Personality:
As for clothes, Ari wears a variety of darkly-colored thin t-shirts and dark jeans. When it's cold out, her shirts are thick and bright, but her pants stay the same. Ari has a tan and white fur coat, which is a bit too big for her.
Ari has straight, reddish-orange hair, which falls to just below her shoulders. Her hair has natural black highlights, which she shows off proudly. Ari's hair is split to her left. She also shows off her deep gray eyes, which also are natural. As a baby, her eyes were blue, but as she matured, they darkened to a gray. Ari's skin is a light tan color, and her face has lots of little freckles. Her nose is particularly small and pointy, and her lips are a light pink. Ari's mouth is the only thing about her that should be average-sized, with adds for a nice touch to her appearance.
A few things that Ari likes are roses, predominately primroses; fish, like salmon; birds, mainly hawks; and the night. The night is so comforting to Ari because of how quiet it usually is, except for the crickets and owls. Ari is a deep sleeper, though, so it doesn't bother her.History:
The main thing that Ari is afraid of is bunnies. The way they twitch their noses, their love for carrots, which is Ari's least favorite food, their little cotton tails, how some of them have red eyes, their long feet. All of that sends chills into Ari, which is the main reason she doesn't like them.
Ari is not only small, but she is smart. Not in the way that she knows a whole lot and belongs in District 3, but in the way that she makes a lot of theories. None of them are heard, though, because she is so quiet and shy and small, so not many people pay attention to her.
Ari can run a little bit better than some people in her grade, but she is not so fast that she could outrun anything. She can't play sports, and isn't very athletic, but Ari can catch a ball pretty easy, which may come in handy if she becomes a tribute for the games. Her hand-eye coordination is great, and Ari's vision is twenty-twenty, but she has a small problem with hearing. If a twig snaps, she won't hear it, but if someone shouts her name from a floor below, she'll be able to come to them.
Ari's family lives in the wealthy part of District 2, since their family has inherited that single house for a long time. Her great-grandfather was a Peacekeeper, so his wife got to live in a big house with him. Their family never left the house, so Ari was born to live in it, as well as her twin brother Ario.Codeword: Odair
At birth, Ario was a fat baby. He was born minutes from midnight, so when Ari was born, small and light, she was born on the next day, giving them two separate birthday's. As Ari grew older, she came up with the theory that it symbolized how different they were. Ari was small and shy. Ario was big, strong, and had a lot of friends. Ario could do magic tricks. Ari couldn't do squat about magic. Ari could climb trees. Ario broke tree limbs. Ari was quick. Ario didn't care about being fast.
When Ari turned 8, she decided that in case she became a tribute for the Hunger Games, she would need to train like a career. Part of her says that she wanted to train like a career so that she could be noticed. Another part of her says that she does so that she will be noticed in the Games, if she becomes a tribute. The final part of her says she did that just to be prepared in case she becomes a tribute for the games.
Ario helped her, but soon found that it was useless, and that she needed to teach herself because she can't focus with someone else talking to her. Ari found a lot of ways to do things, like how she made her own dagger-throwing style, how she climbed trees in a different manner, etc. Ari found easier ways to do things, but no one noticed any of that, despite what the small part of her told her. This was okay with Ari, since she didn't want to share her ways, anyway.
When Ari was 10, she thought that she should work on her greatest skills, not everything at once, so she started to practice her dagger throwing. She got so good with her accuracy that she tried to throw it the real way, not with the handle hidden by her hand. Her fingers gripped the tip of the blade and she threw it to a nearby tree... and found that it was easier than what she had been doing. When Ari found this out, she threw daggers all day until she knew that she would never miss, even if she tried. (Not really, that's an exaggeration.)
By the time Ari was 12, she could scale a tree in a few seconds and throw daggers perfectly. She decided that she needed to run, but it was hard, especially in the winter. Sometimes, she would spend her time doing other stuff, but found that she really needed to work on her running. Ari ran everyday for the most of the day, and she got quicker. Not as quick as she could be, like she saw some people in the Games, but quick enough to run away.
When Ari turned 14, she found out that her weaknesses are swimming, close combat fighting, eating quickly, patience, starting fires, and knowing what is edible and what's not. Some of these weaknesses she decided to save in case she became a tribute, to learn in the training center, and some of these she decided to work on, like her patience, swimming, and close combat. Ari knew that she could trust Ario to teach her the close combat and swimming, but Ari had to work on her short patience by herself. If she was in the arena, dying of thirst, and she saw a lake that she knew wouldn't be clean, her short patience would force her to take a drink of the water before it was finished purifying, and that would be her most likely death in the arena.
Other than training as a career, Ari had a pretty normal life, except for not being noticed, thanks to how small and shy she is.
Comments/Other:
I will make Ario after a little bit.. But can I just pretend like their parents are just.. there? Because I don't really want to make them orphaned.. That happens too much on other roleplay sites I'm active on. It gets annoying, actually.
