My appearance? Do you see me? Come on. Take a look.Personality:
The first thing many people notice about Cinder is her flaming red hair. It's waist length, and comes down her back in thick heavy waves of scarlet, almost as though her hair was bleeding. She normally wears it down, or braids it. It's not dyed or anything, she just has natural blood red hair. She's the only ginger in her family, so she must have gotten the recessive gene from the pool.
One of the things Cinder hates the most about herself are her freckles; they cover the bridge of her nose and brush lightly across her cheeks, as though it were a dusting. They stand out against her too pale skin, and Cinder feels self-conscious about it. She thinks her skin is too pasty, and she wishes it wasn't blotchy in certain places, especially on her face.
Cinder isn't the tallest person around, and she capped out two years ago at around 5'3". She's small and lithe, very slender and made up almost entirely of legs. She has small hands and feet, and she looks fragile like a doll, as though she might break.
The most striking thing about Cinder, even more so than her blood red hair, are her eyes, and even more her eyelashes. She has huge, bright green doe eyes and thick eyelashes that a normal person would kill for.
The thing that Cinder is most uncomfortable about concerning her body is the S- shaped scar on the right side of her neck. It's faded over the past four years, but it is always a reminder to Cinder, and she is very self conscious about it.
Personality? Well, I really don't like people snooping around my life, for starters...History:
Cinder is usually very silent, and only speaks when she really feels the need to. Usually when she does speak, it's to correct someone about something they said, remark sarcastically, or to comment on something she finds relatively endearing. She feels that she gets along with animals better than people, and she is sort of a cynic. You know; she sees the glass half empty, instead of the glass half full. She is extremely compassionate when it comes to her family and the few friends she has, and even more so with the animals. She has a certain gift with them, and enjoys helping her father breed and study them; it's really one of the few things in life she doesn't absolutely loathe.
Cinder is actually really a very brilliant person, but slacks off with her school work. She's more than capable, but she would rather spend her time working with the animals she so loves dearly, or drawing. She's a very talented artist, and her teachers get very frustrated at her during class when she ignores the work and draws instead. She has little respect for authority, or for anybody for that matter. The only people that she completely respects are her brother and her father.
Cinder isn't really afraid of anything, which can be a good thing and it can also be a bad thing. She's very confident in her abilities, and she's not afraid of being reaped for the Games. She's not as mental to go as far as wishing she would be reaped or volunteer, no, no one ever did that. But if she ever did get reaped, she would be courageous and strong. She's been hardened ever since her mother died, but a part of her was never really right again.
One of Cinder's favorite things is to make snarky comebacks. She loves sarcasm and being made fun of, in order to engage in a battle of wits with a person who is usually unarmed. She finds harm to other people extremely amusing.
I suppose I could tell you about my past...Codeword: odair
Cinder rarely ever gives information about her past, or what her life is like. She's very private and protective of her family. Cinder's family consists of her, her father Garth and her twin brother Kale. She and Kale are very close, and she is extremely protective of him because he is blind. Cinder is just as protective of her father, Garth, because he is the one who introduced her to animals, and he teaches her what he knows about breeding and studying them. Garth loves his children dearly because they are the last thing that reminds him of his wife and their mother, Serri. Cinder and Kale never really knew their mother, she died in childbirth when they were 3. They lost the baby also, and Garth went into a huge pit of depression, causing Cinder to take care of herself as well as Kale.
Cinder can usually be found with any kind of animal in her spare time. She spends a ton of time on the small farm with her dad, and she aspires to be a breeder or working in some way with animals. Her father always tells her she has to work harder in school, but Cinder still slacks off. This usually upsets her father, and they used to get in fights all the time, causing Cinder to storm out in a fit of rage. Their relationship has improved a massive amount since then.
Cinder's small S shaped scar on her neck is representative of the time she got attacked by two boys with a knife when she was 12. It astonishes her that it is in the shape of an S, almost perfect, and not that it's some odd jagged line running down her neck. Kale had felt it, and threatened to find them and hunt them down, but Cinder is more than capable of handling herself; she feels that SHE is the one that needs to be taking care of her brother, not the other way around. She feels guilty about the fact that Kale is blind, because she feels she got off easy, being the other twin. She would do anything to take away his blindness.
