Personality:
Sadie is eye-catching, with her blonde hair and green eyes, but that's certainly not the only reason that she's noticeable. If you were to stand her among her family, you'd notice that she's small. Standing at only 4"11' and weighing in at 105lbs, she looks a lot younger than her seventeen years. She uses this as her biggest advantage. Being small and lightweight, she can climb. She's a lot faster than she looks, as well. Sadie has undeniably pale skin, so white that it seems to glow in the skin. Her cheeks are speckled with lots of dark freckles.
Sadie has a dark scar across her shoulder from falling out of a tree as a child, but it's generally covered up by her long hair. It's blonde, and generally falls in straight layers down to breasts. If she can get her hands on it, she prefers to wear dresses that go down to her knees. Sadie takes a great deal of pride in her dresses, and is generally more confident when she's dressed in them.
Sadie is fairly intelligent, but nothing out of the ordinary. She's never been very good in physical labor, but makes up for it in her quick wits. She's very logical, and often misses sarcastic comments, taking them for face value. She also tends to miss a lot of social cues, and can sometimes be taken as obnoxious for that. If she's comfortable with someone, she can appear very confident and knowing exactly what she's trying to say.History:
She's never been good at keeping friends. She prefers to have just a few close friends, too many make her nervous. Sadie likes to talk to people though, but she won't consider you a friend until you prove yourself to her, but proving yourself is different for each person. She's a very family-oriented person and is insanely protective over her little brother, Ollie. Her older brother, Elliot, is the main bread-winner in the family, and while she cares for him, they aren't very close.
If left to her own devices, Sadie would be a tomboy. However, her mother has always needed her help in the kitchen. By doing so, she's a fairly good cook. When she could get out with her father before he vanished, she enjoyed following him while he worked as a medic. She knows basic healing techniques, but not enough to be actually useful if she were to compete in The Hunger Games.
Sadie grew up in District 6 with her mother, Evie, and her father, Jayden. She also had her two brothers. Elliot, who is eighteen, and her younger brother, Ollie, who is thirteen. Her biggest fear is for any of their names to be called in the reaping, even though she knows that it's a big possibility. Her childhood was relatively non-important, at least until she turned nine and Peacekeepers showed up at her house and informed her family that her father was missing. She hasn't heard from or of him sense.Codeword: odair
After her father disappeared, her mother's sister, Faye, moved in with them after her husband died. While she gets along with her mother and brothers fine, she despises her aunt, and wishes she wasn't living with them. However, she knows better than to speak out against it. Her mother is very gentle, but Faye isn't against striking Sadie whenever she feels she's out of line.
Her mother and Elliot are medics, and are gone most of the time, leaving the family in the hands of Faye, who stays at home to take care of Ollie and Sadie. Sadie spends most of her time out in the District. She likes to be shadowing her brother as she did with her father, but the Peacekeepers no longer allow her to do that for reasons that she doesn't understand.
Sadie aspires to be just like her father, a trait that scares most of her family. After all of this, she believes that her father ran off to be a rebel, but she has no proof for this. But her aunt will punish her if she speaks of her father, so she knows better than to say any of her thoughts outloud.
