Maxe Malone-District Eleven

Maxe’s eye’s are such an intense dark brown, they almost seem black. Those eyes may also look red too, it all depends on the lighting. The point is, Maxe’s eyes are dark brown. His cheekbones are high and stick out when he smiles. Maxe’s smile is just the best thing about him. It lights up his whole face, making him look like a happy kid. Maxe is most definitely not a happy kid, though. His teeth are a faded yellow, turning brown, because of lack of hygiene. They are also crooked, and his two front teeth are chipped. Maxe’s lips are nicely shaped and plump. They thin out when he smiles, though. His smile is very cute, besides the fact that his teeth are totally nasty, and it's very boy-ish.

His hair is jet black and perfectly curly. The curls are so precisely shaped that you can pull one and it would boing back into place. His curly hair has grown a little long, it’s not to his shoulders but not really short. Some of the black locks come down to his forehead in random areas. Now his nose is skinny at the top but as it goes down it gets wider. To put it simpler, Maxe has a big honker. It’s hereditary so everyone in his family has it. Maxe is not a big kid, but he isn’t skin and bones either. His arms are a little muscular and so are his legs from hard labor in the fields. Maxe's skin tone matches the color of coffee. His skin is very smooth too. Maxe is tall for his age too, he stands at about 5’3. The way his jaw is lined up it makes him look older than he really is. When people see Maxe Malone walking around they might guess that he is fourteen.

Maxe is totally not interested in girls yet, but they all seem to be in love with him. Maxe is totally oblivious to this, for relationships with other people are not his center of focus. Making friends comes naturally to Maxe, just talking to him for five minutes will make you think he’s your best friend. He is quite the conversationalist. Everyone likes Maxe, except those who are highly jealous of him. But if they knew Maxe’s background, they would never even think to be jealous of him ever again.

Maxe is a good guy, and loves his little sister, Mimi, to death. He has never had a real girlfriend, though he has tons of options. Maxe could literally have any girl in District Two he wants. Maxe is definitely not self centered, in fact he is very modest. Maxe, however, is not one who will talk to you first. He is pretty quite unless you come up and say hello to him. Maxe tries to keep to himself, but ends up failing and has an hour long conversation with some random homeless kid at the market. Maxe is also very hard to read. He usually walks around with a blank expression on his face, that is until you get him chatting. He thinks emotions are a weakness so he tries not to show them.

Maxe is obviously popular among his peers, not only because of his talkative nature but because of his wild sense of humor. Maxe can make any situation into the funniest story ever told, even if it is about like a rock or something. Everything amuses him, too. Maxe might be sitting at school, trying to focus on his work, which he finds easy, and another kid has a very confused look on his face. Maxe will most likely think this is hilarious and burst out laughing. That got him into trouble too many times. Maxe gets embarrassed easily though. When he does, his whole neck gets red and splotchy. Maxe sometimes cries when his instructor yells at him. He doesn’t like it when people get mad and take it out on others, it’s a pet peeve of Maxe’s.

Maxe is absurdly smart, it’s really ridiculous. He can ramble on and on about the Rebellion and why the Hunger Games were created. No one cares, really! This has branded Maxe as a sort of hunky geek nerd person. No one is sure what to think of Maxe Malone. People want to like him because he is nice, love him ‘cause he’s a hottie, or make fun of him because he is smart. Maxe is either famous or infamous. Hated or loved. Made fun of or praised. This confuses Maxe a lot, and he tries oh so hard not to acquaint with people, but Maxe just can’t help it. Even if Maxe is talkative and a bunch of people like him, Maxe as low self-esteem issues. Maxe is troubled by the thought of everyone just feeling sorry for him, and that is why they like him. This is definitely not true, but it bugs Maxe in a way no one can imagine. Poor, Maxe.

Maxe’s family is small, because it consists of one person, Mimi. Mimi is his little eight year old sister, who has seen and gone through to much for her age. Maxe tries his hardest to protect her from their cruel parents. Jalyn, his mother, has beaten Maxe and Mimi since Mimi was born. Jalyn wasn’t that bad the first three years he lived. She was almost a good parent. Then Jude came along and ruined everything. Jalyn is now plain evil. When she had an affair with Jude, Mimi was born. Maxe doesn’t think it’s Mimi’s fault that she is an annoying twit and loves her dearly.

Jude has created many torture chambers through out their house. Maxe has only been in a few, for punishment when he stops Jude for raping Mimi. Maxe still remembers the day Jude tortured him until he was unconscious. When he woke up he was laying on a silver table in the middle of a room. Blood was everywhere, and Maxe swore he saw a case with a heart inside it. Standing near the open door, was Mimi. Poor girl was probably scarred for life. See Jude, he likes to experiment on animals. He poisons them to see how long they live, or cut off limbs to see if they can live without them. Maxe knows what will happen if he tells the Peacekeepers about Jude’s experiments. Jalyn would definitely kill Maxe.

Maxe doesn’t even know who his biological father really is. He has his theories on where he might be though. Jude could have tortured and killed him. His father could have cheated on Jalyn, but Maxe doesn’t like this theory because he wants to believe his dad was a good man. His dad could’ve just died of something simple like starvation. Maybe he is still alive, somewhere, waiting for the right moment to come and rescue Maxe and his little sister.

Maxe is absolutely terrified of the Games. He doesn’t understand why Mimi finds them so wonderful. Well, actually, he does. It’s escape. You either die, or get fame and fortune. If she ever won there would be plenty of food and a mansion for Maxe and Mimi only. He wouldn’t mind if Mimi was sent into the Hunger Games. What Maxe is really scared of, is the fact that if he gets picked, how would Mimi fend for herself. He would have to win, but in the time he would be in the arena, Mimi would be raped ruthlessly, without Maxe to defend her. This is Maxe’s biggest fear of all.
