You aren't expecting the blaring burst of music that suddenly fills your ears. It's a tune you recognize - Panem's anthem. Sure enough, you look up and see the seal high above you, and you know what's coming. You've managed to survive another day, but who hasn't? Which tributes have fallen today, in this deadly game the Capitol forces you to play?Sylvania Legend, District 2You count quickly in your head, and then once more on your fingers to make sure you've got the number right. Two have died today. That leaves nine left to fight, including yourself. Eight more to kill, if you ever hope to leave this prison and return home again.
Noelle Pines, District 7
As night falls, you begin to notice that there are a lot more bothersome bugs flying around you than usual. You think nothing of it, though - by this time, you are used to the insects that like to bother you at nightfall. But as you try to sleep, you grow itchier and itchier. Finally you can't take it anymore, and you snap your eyes open...and find yourself staring right at a mosquito with a body of nearly two inches, and legs even longer.
It must be a Capitol creation; you're sure mosquitoes of this size do not exist anywhere. You swat it away, afraid that it may carry poison of some sort, but suddenly it's replaced by another...and another...and another. You are being swarmed with giant mosquitoes, and the only thing you can think to do is run. So you snatch up your supplies and take off, while the swarms follow you everywhere. It's impossible to tell if there are any tributes nearby; the air is thick with these vile creatures. You're not thinking about anybody else, anyway. All that matters is getting away from these bugs that may carry instant death.
As the sun rises, you feel the swarms lessen, but you have no idea where you are. You know you've been bitten many times because you're itchy all over, horribly itchy, itchier than any mosquito bite has ever made you before. But you're alive, and you don't feel poisoned. For the first time, you wonder if there's anyone else around. You know you'll soon find out.
Congratulations on surviving day four, tributes.
