Mathilde's face is very wide and gives a very childlike, rounded appearance. Her thin, narrow eyes seem mysterious, but every emotion seems to shine through her big, blue irises. They are often disapprovingly slanted in appearance, but this is just the way her face was formed and is not her fault or her intention to look so angry. Her cheek bones are prominent, and stretch her skin seemingly quite thin. Her nose is a ski slope down her face. Her lips are thin, but a curious natural pink. Her smile is wide and whether it's fake or not, always gives off a wide radiation of joy. She often breaks out. She has luscious golden hair that is very flexible. She doesn't mind wearing it down, straight, curly. She usually just leaves it alone.

Tilds is something of an 'early developer.' Beginning in the seventh grade, the boys in her district became suddenly interested in and attracted to her. She is particularly tall and has a decent amount of muscle. Both traits came from her father. Her height was of course genetic. However, she liked to watch and work with her father in construction, which proved a good workout for her arms. However, bending down also made her gluteus maxius muscles quite prominent. Her chest is very developed, and though attractive to many, she isn't particularly proud of them. Mathilde is just over 120 pounds, but most of her fat is on her legs and arms. She is around five feet and five inches.


One big thing she likes to keep hidden are her ears. They were huge, at first. When she was young, aybe six or seven, she had the genius ear of trying to burn them off. Of course, they caught on fire, and she has some not-so-lovely scalds on the edges of her ears. (Thank goodness her mother was around)

With five siblings, Matt was born and raised where she was always striving to get her attention. She needed to scream just to ask for dinner, seeing as her house was always crowded and loud. This has made her, even to this day, a very big attention seeker. She has a tendency to need to be seen wearing the best, being with the best, and doing the best. She has been trying to lose this habit, knowing it is wrong and very lowly, but she's been doing it so actively for a while that it has been hard to shake. She is somewhat self conscience. She hates when people think badly of her, or are mad at her. When this is the case, she will do practically anything to right whatever wrong has implanted the thought into the hater's mind.

Matt has a tendency to always act like she knows what she's doing may put other people down for their mistakes. It makes her feel better, for some reason. Sometimes she just knows she's basically a dumbass, but she doesn't like to show weakness, or that she's not good at something. Sure, she'll act humble enough, but showing off is her forte and she performs better in any topic in front of people. Mathilde is a perfectionist, and even if she's not good at something, she needs to make it the best of her ability, and at the least, neat. She is extremely hard working and doesn't believe in shortcuts or cheating.

Speaking of her hard-working attitude, her honor is extremely apparent. Mathilde doesn't lie often, and never to her friends. She's been known to lie here and there to her enemies as well as adults, and she's very good at it. But otherwise, she hates deceiving others to her core. If you lie to her, she doesn't want to be involved with you and she will hate you down to your bone marrow. Mathilde is one of those people you want to be friends with, because she doesn't start shit and won't take it from anyone. She doesn't do petty drama and she likes to cut her ties with people who enjoy it. Gossip is probably her number one pet peeve.

The Stathopoulos's came from a long line of Grecian families before the great disaster that formed Panem. The surname still remains through all the years. Dino Stathopoulos married Keen Adoras after many years of courtship. Dino was a handsome young construction worker who was slowly being promoted and his salary increasing. Keen was a nurse who used herbal remedies and was said to be able to heal any wound. She refused to cure the sick, only promising to save those torn my war and wild animals. She hated the color yellow, and so much that she couldn't stand to see anyone the color. Therefore, she couldn't cure them without throwing up.

Their salaries were very high, and enough so to fully feed their first four children - Chance, Meridian, Thames, and Mathilde. They got along well enough, but were average siblings. They fought and the house was loud. When Mathilde was about two years old, she received a batch of twins as her first younger siblings. Their names were Kardin and Teagan. Mathilde felt the need to bully them as the house got louder, and the siblings got more competetive.

When Mathilde was six, her older brother Chance was selected to fight in the Hunger Games. Her father would not let her watch until that year, and little Matt was horrified watching the competing tributes die horrible deaths. The only thing she wouldn't hide in the pillows from, was seeing her brother die. Her eyes were wide as he was literally shredded by a hybrid pack of wolves. She couldn't turn away, but she was whimpering and screaming and crying the entire time. At the moment, she was the only one by the TV, and the only one to fully witness her brother's death. She has hated the Hunger Games, and has often refused to watch them. However, she wants to be selected to fight in them so she may avenge her brother. She hasn't shared this with many, but she'd rather die than walk in the sadness of her brother. She regrets all the nights she spent arguing with him, and tries (and often fails) to remember the also plentiful fun they had together. Uprising has been a forethought, but she knew she'd just end up killed in a more brutal way or made an Avox. She would rather die with honor in the Hunger Games.
