I'm new here and have three questions.

I realize that people play various characters on one 'login name'. Is it still possible to add a character picture to the posts so it's easier to picture the charrie...since there are so many here!

Number two: Is it okay for me to include pics like ....jpg?

Number three: Some guys write third person, some 'I'. I find it confusing if it occurs in one thread. Is there a standard?

Hey and welcome to the forum!

1. Yup, you can add images to posts using the following tag:
[img]URL to image[/img]

2. Yeah, pictures are just fine, so long as they stay appropriate. The file type (jpeg, bitmap, PNG, etc) shouldn't matter much.

3. Nope, we don't have a standard for third, first, or even second person (for whatever reason, like half the site went through a second person phase last winter; that's mostly died out though I think.) If one style confuses you, I'm sure you'll be able to find plenty of people who write in the other.

4. No, no one can just kill your character, unless they're in the Hunger Games. Aside from the Games, you must give consent.

Hi there! I'll try to answer your questions the best I can.

1) Some people do add a character picture with their posts (I usually do so for the first post and then not include it for the rest since it's in the thread already), and we usually encourage members to include a name somewhere in their posts (especially if they write in first person).

2) Yes, you can use any picture format (.jpg, .gif, .png, etc...) as long as it's in the tags.

3) Rule of thumb is to keep the point of view the same within the thread. However, you should work out with the person you're role-playing with for that. Usually, the two of you can work something out, but if you can't, then I advise either adapting or just RP-ing with someone else.

4) No. In order for someone to kill your character, they need your expressed permission. The only time people can randomly kill is in the Games, but the tributes' owners have already accepted that their character may die.

D10 and 11 work together. Does that mean I can cross over to D11 to do some work?
