Addalaid Grace (District 12)

Appearance:

Addy has olive skin like much of her district. Her smooth skin would be some what perfect if it was not for the scratches and bruses that speckled her. She also has a small brith mark on her hip of a heart. When her mother was alive she said that Addy stole her heart.

Addy also had light brown hair unlike the normal black or dark brown. It has beautiful natural highlights that stream down it to an inch above her sholders. But some times when she is not alowd the rear luxery of a bath she finds her hair becomeing a dull brown. Still every once in a while she will fine a weed like flower on the grown, such as a dandy lion, and place it in her hair just beside her left ear.Addy also has pale gray eyes with bits of dark black. They seem to stear right into the heart.

Addy is about an inch or two about avrage hight for her age making her some what tall. She is kind of athletic looking meaning she could run, climb, ect. (well not swim since she has no way of learning) but she never has a time to pratice. She is also skinny since it has been long since she has had a decent meal.

Personality:

Addy is smart and quick thinging despite the fact the schools praticly try to brain wash children. She is also very mother like being the oldest women in her home. This maybe because her mother died in the birth of her 5th child who also died a few days later. This event is explained better in the History section.

One thing Addy is deathly afraid of is her Father. She hates him. Also water since she does not know how to swim the whole idea is scarry.

Addy is smart when it comes to animals since she has rased 3 chickens (2 female 1 male) from hatchlings and a goat that was even to skinny for the butcher to chop up. Both of which are keeping the family of five alive. The two female hens are named Jadis and Dorry and the male is called Sunny. The goat is a girl and is called Betty.

Addy is also destaned to become a wife to some guy and bear his children when she becomes of a good age. It wouldn't suprise her that her father would sell her into being an avox of something. But as for now she is just keeping her family alive.

Sometimes she travles to the near by town of Steam in hopes of better buissness to sell things like eggs or goat's milk or cheese. But she never dear beg since there are so many peacekeepers and she is afraid to get into trouble some way some how.

She has never picked up a weapon but maybe a nice dagger would work well with her. Hopefully she'll never know. But will the amount of times she was forced to put her name in the drawing not only to keep her family alive but to keep up with her father's drinking habit. Well let's just say the odd aren't quite in her favor.

History:

She was born Febuary 9th just 15 years ago to Ellsiebeth Grace and Alon Grace. She was their first born with the two only being married when the news of a child came about. If Addy was never born her mother would have never been forced to marry such a person at the age of 19.

In her first years of life her mother gave her undevied attention to Addy. Addalaid's father worked in the mines those years.

When Addy was 4 her mother became pregnant with her brother, Scander Grace. Just a year after his birth Alon Grace was crippled from a mining acadent leading to Ellsiebeth leaving her roll as stay at home mom to become a worker. She was luckie and found work as a nanny for the maior's three children. That ment little time for Addy and two year old Scander.

When Addy was 9 and Scander 4 their mother gave birth to twin girls Bella and Donna (named after the belladonna lily aka nacked lady). After this Ellsiebeth grew ill. She could no longer work and Addy had to find work at the age of 10 with odd jobs.

Still her father took advantge over his wife and Addys mom once again became pregnant. On the day of Addy's brother Mica's birth she lost her mother (she was only 30 years old). Five days later the little boy died also. Addy was approching her 12th birthday and was soon alound to use the only good side of being elagable for the Hunger Games that haunted her dreams.

Now Addy is 15. Her brother is ten and the twins are six. Her father is abusive and drinks. He is offten drunk and beats Addy up leaving Addy to long for the day she can leave and take her siblings with her. So far that day is long from near.

The only token she has to even rember her mother is a locket. Inside is the heart shaped thing are photos of her grandfather and grandmother that died long before Addy was even born.
