Gender: Female
District/Area: District 5
Appearance:
Lethe is tiny, and fragile looking. Her skin is excruciating pale, so pale that her blue veins can be seen clearly on her wrists, and eyelids. Her hair, which falls just below her ribcage, is straight, and frayed at the ends. It's a pale blonde color, with hay-colored streaks, and darker roots. Her hair frames her diamond-shaped face, falling, diagonally, across her eyes.Personality:
She has thin cheeks, and equally thin lips, which are a pale pink color. Her nose is a bit cat-like, roundish, and down-turned. Her eyes are small, wide-set, and sea-green, with a hint of blue around the edges. Her cheeks have slim, red scars from her long nails clawing down her face.
Her body is lanky, and a bit awkward. Although she is short, her legs are long, long for a short person, as are her arms and fingers. Her waist is slender, and miniscule, and, although she isn't anorexic, she has some soft, light, downy hair that covers her arms, legs, and back.
Lethe is an extremely nervous person. She suffers from prosopgnosia, a disorder that makes it impossible for her to recognize people's faces, and connect them. Although she is unaware of the exact disease, she knows from being told that she cannot recognize others well, and as a result is very afraid and anxious. Sometimes, she can be so worked up that she inflicts pain upon herself by scratching her face. She isn't entirely insane, just horribly frightened, especially when someone insists something about her, while she can't recognize them.History:
When she isn't having nervous breakdowns, she is a kind, caring person. Lethe doesn't smile much, but can put others at ease, despite her own life being in tumult. She has a calming air about her, that cannot be daunted. She doesn't have much of a temper, and has a liking for children.
Lethe is very romantic, the ideas coming to her from romance novels that she enjoys to read. To make the best of her situation, she tries to find it terribly romantic if someone has a crush on her, and she cannot make the connection with them. She is an optimist, and likes to pretend that she knows the person, secretly hoping she'll be able to remember and her life won't turn out to be like the sad, romance novels she reads. Despite these hopes, Lethe still remains tied down by her disorder.
Lethe was born into quite a large family, with two parents, five other kids, four more on the way, and her grandparents. Although she sees them every day, Lethe cannot recognize any of their faces. However, her family is loving enough to help her out whenever they can, wearing similar clothes as the day before, and choosing their words, carefully. Despite all this, Lethe still wakes up every day wondering who is in her house.Codeword: muttations
She is well-known among the community for this, and well-liked for her caring nature, as well. However, some people find it fit to take advantage of her because she won't be able to remember the next day whether it was them who did it. Sadly enough, this often works. Her only comfort comes from animals.
Growing up in District 5 certainly has its advantages. She specializes in horses, breeding them and training them to be able to pull the chariots in the Opening of the Hunger Games. Whenever she is most scared, she finds her favorite horse, a black and white mare called Susie, to comfort her. However, she knows Susie won't always be there, and fears the day when Susie will be sent off to the Capitol or die.
