Charles "Charlie" J. Czolgosz

The audible sighs of relief rang out through the fields as people headed into town. Quitin' time. The best time of day. Charlie was tired like everyone else, but he was also agitated. The emotion didn't show on his face, it rattled inside his core instead. The trapped sensation of frustration made his temple pulsate and his vision to be blurry. Peacekeepers- The Capitol. It was all unfair.

Now, these were the thoughts that usually go through any citizen of Panem's head at any given time but with Charlie it's different. Charlie, who is so often void of any feeling, has gotten into the bad habit of unleashing these feeling. He doesn't take out his anger as Charlie, oh no Charlie is to lazy for that. Charles does the dirty work. Charles- the alter ego.

Right now, Charlie had control, his back was slumped over and he was moving along with the throng of people towards the square. A typical day silently slipping into an unusual night.

Sorry for the length, I didn't have as much muse as I thought I did Dx

As the sky color of the sky shifted slowly from a vague granite grey towards an almost definitely pitch black the swarm pressed on determinedly. Tessa along with the populace of District 11, had just returned from a hard day’s drudgery. Although in Tessa’s case it was in her Parent’s Pear Orchard, thanks to stupid and his need for change Tessa’s arms were stiff an throbbing, a walk in the wheat fields would help clear the cobwebs nestled within the inner corridors of her mind. Away from thoughts of the oppressive Peacekeepers, Away from thoughts of the picture perfect Capitol, Away from the sheer lottery of life.

Tessa’s days always ended like this, with slight wanderings of the outside and an absence of her ever mirthful smile. Already consumed within their own exhaustion, her fellow workers do not seem to detect the melancholy nature of Tessa’s thoughts. Turning her head and squinting due to lack of light Tessa struggled to spot her siblings through the Neverending Sea of chocolate and Tawny. One person however stuck out like a sore thumb, his back was hunched, his hair was on a carelessly messy, and most noticeable held a definite tinge of blonde. How much exactly, Tessa was unable to tell. Brushing a flowing brunette tendril of hair behind her ear Tessa noticed that unnamed person, (whom from his gait she now took to be a man) was as dejected as the others beside him, although it was if a piece of him was somehow disconnected from reality.

Hurrying forwards, Tessa swiftly checked in all directions for any hovering peacekeeper that may have been lurking in a darkened alleyway before beginning to shove her way efficiently past several grime covered men, in what she thought was the general direction of the solitary blonde. Slowly, a blanket of cloud steadily progressed throughout the sky above.

(Sorry if it's bad I've been studying all day so my muse has well and truly evaporated. And it's my first in character post)

Charles "Charlie" J. Czolgosz

Reaching the run down square of District Eleven, Charles was becoming restless inside Charlie's chest. There was still a fine sliver of daylight but the emotions tumbling inside of him couldn't wait for the night. Doing a quick scan, Charlie ducked into a near by alleyway, pressing his back against the cool, stone wall of a store. There was moisture in the air, a feeling Charlie took in gratefully on his skin. Twitching, he rolled up his sleeves in an attempt to quench the fire under his flesh. Running his hand through his hair, sweat was practically dripping from his face. Clutching his hair between his fingers, Charlie's body straightened up, his entire aura gaining more confidence and authority.

Turning back towards the square, Charles took long, straight strides back into the open. Most of the people had cleared out rather fast and the sun was only an faint orange glow in the west. Running his tongue over his teeth he noticed that in the citizens that were still mingling, someone was walking straight towards him. A Peacekeeper? Did they finally know it was him? Oh god. No. It was just a girl- probably not older than himself. No big deal.

In fact, Charles started up his walk again to meet the girl half way. Maybe he could pull her into that alleyway, he remembered seeing some broken glass by a trashcan. That would work just fine. She's just walking towards him- no need to kill her! There's no need to work District Eleven like dogs either! Why should actions have reasons? It isn't right. No one said it was.

Smiling wryly at her sheer stupidity for following up this completely pointless task, Tessa progressed through the sea of noticeable malnourished bodies. Most of them, she had to admit, were brunettes. There was not a blonde in sight. In an effort to work out what the hell she was doing Tessa casually glanced upwards, daylight was still visible outside the silver blanket of cloud that shrouded the evening sky, the sun like the dying embers of a long forgotten fire, was emitting a dull shade of orange and was obviously, situated to the west side of the sky at this hour of the day, night, whatever.

Determinedly Tessa pressed on; every now and then she stopped to greet those still wandering aimlessly around the square. Occasionally, she waited for some of her peers who she’de attended the village school with to reach a lapse in their conversation, and she’d glide in, figuratively of course, land a witty remark or two and then continue on her curiosity driven path towards the lonesome stranger.

Finally after several minutes of fruitless searching, Tessa found the intriguing man standing slightly to the left of the road that shot straight as an arrow through 11’s main street. Slowly, Tessa strode forewords into the cobbled dirt clogged road that dissected the main street of District 11 into two, and was startled to discover that the stranger was striding forewords to meet her half way. Smiling tentatively, Tessa could not miss the glint in his eye. Although, to what it entailed she was clueless.
