It was a fine spring morning, the air was crisp, and the sun was out. It wasn't burning hot, but it was warm enough to take the chill out of the thin layer of mist carpeting her part of the district. The sun streamed through the clouds, illuminating Serena's room, and leaving a sun spot right in front of her bed. Groaning slightly, she rolled out of the soft comfort of her resting place, and landed with a THUMP on the floor. She wanted to yelp, but her parents weren't up yet..and she'd get in trouble. Her marble flooring sucked the warmth out of her cheek, an icy grip sucking out her body heat. Her stiff night gown made it harder to move, but she pushed herself up with her hands. Their tan surfaces met the tiled floor, and sustained enough force to enable her to get up. Though her feet were stilled chilled from the floor beneath her, she was more or less functional.[/size][/blockquote]
Shuffling over to the sun spot on the floor, Serena basked in the glorious heat of the sun. Amazing what a great big ball of burning gas can do, isn't it? Blinking the sleep out of eyes, the teenager stretched and yawned. A typical morning routine of just about everyone. Somehow, tradition comforted the girl, making her feel safe, at home. She wanted to stay in her little island of sun, and escape her icy prison, but she had to get to work. The docks would be full of large, hustling and bustling bodies, all working hard. Or, at least most of them would be. She'd probably know by sight, most of the people there. If they worked close to her, she might even know them by name. But there was barely anyone she hadn't encountered over the years of her working there. As anyone that knew anything would tell you, no one from the other districts came to district 4. Never.
(OOC: I don't normally post this small, but I get more into her as an RP progresses)
