~Noelle Pines~
Noelle scanned the training stations as she walked into the room. Almost everyone was already there; she was late. She wondered which station Ruby had picked to go to first. It was almost as though Noelle was sometimes trying to trace Ruby’s steps, however impossible that was. Noelle’s eyes drifted among the many faces that filled the gym. Many of them were already grouped together, forming alliances. If there was one thing Noelle wanted, it was company. If she was going to die, she at least wanted to know that she was cheering someone else on, that someone else would win for her. She wanted to leave her spirit in good hands.
Then again, what was she thinking? This was the Hunger Games. Noelle couldn’t kid herself: she knew that tributes were supposed to make allies to win. Though, Noelle truly didn’t care about winning. The only thing she had left to loose was her sanity: something she wouldn’t let herself give away. She was determined to die with reason; she wanted to remember what happiness was in the last few seconds of her life. In fact, she didn’t want to kill anyone at all, even if it resulted in her own death. Killing, she had convinced herself, was for the weak.
Noelle stood awkwardly next to the door; she wasn’t sure what to do, really. She fingered the pendant on her necklace. It was in the shape of a pinecone. It was a reminder of who she really was: Noelle Pines. When she touched it, she could smell the scent of pine trees scattered throughout the district; she felt like she was back home when she thought of the trees. She knew the reason she had chosen the necklace as her district token; it reminded her of who she really was, who she had been, and who she wanted to be. Noelle let her fingers drop from the pendant.
Noelle finally decided to pick a station. She walked uncomfortably over to the first station she saw, the first-aid stations, which was, at the time, empty. She felt weird standing there all alone; she tried to keep her concentration as the instructor spoke, but she couldn’t help scanning the other tributes. Seeing them all right before her eyes brought her into a sense of curiosity. They were strangers, yet almost all of them were in the same position. Almost all of them were just innocent kids, pulled from their district, and instructed to kill each other. Noelle had a feeling that most of them were older than her; or at least, they looked as though they are. Did that mean they were stronger too? Noelle tried to keep it from bothering her. She realized she should just accept her death, considering she didn’t want to fight any of them. Noelle turned back to the instructor, persistently trying to focus. Suddenly, Noelle heard footsteps coming up behind her. She turned swiftly to see who had arrived at the station.
(OOC: I know it's kind of late to be starting a post in training...but since I just got back, I'm going to anyways xD....)
