Zerena Kelbrick Distrct 5

Zerena has long strawberry blonde ringlet curls going down to her hips which she will usually put in a messy ponytail coming down her front.Her skin is extremely pale almost ghost like with sprinkles of freckles all over her body dominating on her face.Zere has quite a slim tall figure but is quite healthy as she is active running miles everyday.She has heterochromia iridis which means her eyes are two different colours; one eye a deep sea blue the other a forest green.

Despite being 15 she looks much older than she actulley is due to been through a lot through childhood so has aged beyond her years both mind and body.Zere's fashion sense is rather simple usually wearing a shirt with some sort of print or pattern combo with some cotten trousers colours ranging from black,red,green,blue and yellow.A pair of thick stylish boats for the cold months but if it's warmer will wear sandels.

She has a naturally calm personality always being the words of wisdom in a difficult situation with only few things being able to set her off into rage and anxiety.Such as the mention of Peacekeepers,Muttations or the Capitol unfortunately by living in the district where muttations are created she can often be found in a rather down mood as her twin brother was used for experimenting for a crime he had committed.
When it comes to her family Zerena can be quite protective but genreally isn't close to them except from her twin brother Zainay whom is now dead.

Zere is quick-witted,strong and very intelligent.Isn't afraid to stand up for whta she believes in,says what she thinks in a calm passionate way most people cannot train themselves to do.

She can be easily fouled though by people as they pretend to be something to her when they really aren't for example,when she was a child other children be-friended her to be able to be known to hang around with the rich and popular.

Zerena was born a twin along with her brother to a fairly rich family with a mother,father and 1 other sibling.Their family was much respected throughout the district with her father coming up with ideas for new muttations working directly with the Capitol.Her mother was a stay-at-home mother keeping the house in order,clean and representable for the many house guests they had.
Her up-bringing was normal,happy until when she was 7 Zere's father had mysteriously disappered with no evidence of what happened.Most say when conducting an experiement a muttation must of killed and eaten him although she never believed it knowing he wasn't stupid enough to be killed like that although Zerena has no alternative endings to her father's life.
This caused the family distress as they had to move to a much down -rated area of the district as they never had a lot of money left so their mother got a job as a flowerist using the rest of the money they had left to open the shop.It was fairly good as they earned a good amount of money being able to move into the town center where they finally began to feel a bit happier.Mercury,her sister was reaped for the Hunger games at only age 13 but sadly was killed in the bloodbath within minutes of the Games beginning.It sent Zerena into a small depression depsite being only 11 she then began to do runs around the District swearing if she was ever picked for the Games she'd be ready,she would one day volunteer to avange her sister's death.One day when Zerena and her brother Zainay were out in the shops he had suggested they steal some cookies from the bakery,instantly she said no telling him they would be killed if they were caught.Zere walked away while her brother stole the cookies being sentenced to a whipping for his crimes,dying on the 23rd whip.His death was because of the amount of blood he has lost and the shock sent his heart into over-drive also.
After this Zerena was scared to even think of volunteering for the Hunger Games not wanting to suffer gruesome deaths like the rest of her family now becoming more distant from her mother afraid to become too close incase she were to go too.
She had always been the top dog in school everyone envied her for her intelligence,beauty and of course wanted to be-friend her for not all the good reasons.Mostly just to ebcome popular themselves but Zerena still had many loyal trust-worthy friends from all kinds of backgrounds.
