Cyra is a typical slave to the Capitolian fads and fashions. Her hair is curly and a violent shade of violet. Thank God for beauty technology, because her waist-length tresses would be a pain to deal with in the morning without it. Her skin is bleached unnaturally pale, with light green freckles scattered around her face. Her eyes have been surgically enhanced to resemble a manga girl and are the same shade green as her freckles. She’s skinny and has almost no figure. Cyra always knew she was going to be short, so she had the Capitol surgeons stunt her growth at 4’11 so she would be noticeable.

Cyra loves spending time on her fashion choices as well as her physical looks. Her new obsession involves mixing patterns and prints. Even with her style, she always manages to look put-together. She likes to put a little bit of sparkle in all of her outfits, usually in accessories. She tries to stand out as much as possible. She wants to be noticed…and it’s obvious.

Personality:

: Cyra is your normal bubbly Capitol girl. She likes partying, drinking, eating, and doing makeovers on women who come into her mother’s beauty salon. She doesn’t like school. She was never very smart, caring more about her appearance than how to spell appearance. She’s also very rash in her decision-making, focusing more on short-term happiness than long-term peace.

She’s loyal, at least. Kind of like a puppy dog. If you compliment her or are nice to her, she’ll follow you to the ends of the earth. She’s naïve, even after growing up in the Capitol and watching the Hunger Games. For the longest time, she thought the games were just another soap opera set up by the Panemian Entertainment Company. She still holds to that, deep in her heart.

She’s expecting love to visit her at some point in the near future. Cyra is a romantic, but that doesn’t stop her from having a lot of boyfriends and one-night stands. You’ve got to kiss a lot of frogs to get your prince, as her mother always said. Cyra is honest to a fault, mostly at dumb times when it would benefit her to lie. She’s ditzy, but she’s a sweet girl.

History:

Cyra’s father is a popular lawyer in frivolous cases brought by the Capitol. This occupation has kept the Virgil family on the rich side of rich for a long time. Cyra has two siblings: a girl (Tasia) and a half-brother (Rene). Rene is the by-product of one of her mother’s many affairs. The whole family is aware that Mr. and Mrs. Virgil are less than faithful to each other, but don’t like to bring it up. Cyra’s mother runs a beauty parlor, just for fun. (They obviously don’t need the money.)

Cyra dropped out of school when she was 16, deciding that she didn’t need education to be fabulous. She doesn’t regret it. While some of her peers are studying the best years of their lives away, she’s out partying and having fun. Some have told her that her wild lifestyle will catch up with her, but she refuses to believe them.

Cyra’s earliest memory is of her aunt taking her on a carousel ride. Riding one of the painted horses, she felt like a queen surveying her kingdom. It was a feeling of power. She felt like while she was up there, no one could tease her about being slow or her parent’s relationship. It was a feeling of security…and then she fell off of the horse. Since then, she has known that all good things must come to an end-one of the wisest lessons she knows.
