Name: Daniel Manzano
Age: 18
Gender: Male
District/Area: The Capitol
Appearance
Daniel isn’t like all the capitolites, he doesn’t dye his body and look grotesque. He looks like someone from the districts, average height – around 5”8’ to 6”0 – not so muscular. The only difference between him and the district teenagers is that Daniel is blind; most of the colors in his eyes have faded away. His hair is a cool [Yes, cool meaning cold-ish] brown in the dark but in the light it is a warm bronze [Yes, warm meaning, well… Warm]. Though Daniel is blind, he has ears like a bat, he is a musician. Daniel is quite the violinist and gains a lot of money at functions. Daniel has played for the president of the capitol; this was televised and broadcast throughout the nation. He isn’t famous but he is renown being the only blind violinist in the Capitol.
Daniel isn’t extremely muscular but can lift up to 100kg if need be. Most people are afraid to approach him because his eyes seem to ‘stare into your soul’. His choice of clothing is stylish but simple; he always wears a hat and a jacket. He usually picks a semi-formal look, which seems weird being a capitolite. Daniel’s eyes are the part you focus on when you look at his face, the white but with the right touch of green.
Personality
Daniel has a black sense of humor; you’ll begin to dislike him once you hear his jokes. He is a talented writer and composer, and has his own little company. When he begins to play his violin, it is like the tale of the Pied Piper; everyone enters into a trance and follows him around in dance. When he plays his violin, even the birds stop to listen and play it again in harmony. Daniel does not like pain, so he does not like the Hunger Games. When they are on, he tends to play his violin much more often to stop people from watching it. He is a master of the violin but he play much more than that, he also plays; the guitar, drums, piano, viola, cello, double bass and the clarinet. He doesn’t play them because he doesn’t like the sound of most of them.
Daniel has an elder brother who aids him in all he does; he follows him around holding his hand and takes him places. He loves his elder brother and his parents, he loves all his family. There are moments where he doesn’t get along with them but he still loves them. There is a soft side to him that he doesn’t show because he thinks it shows weakness but once in a while someone that he likes can bring it out. Kittens and rainbows are the only thing that his younger sister compares his soft side to.
Wherever Daniel goes, his mood is sure to follow. Daniel usually seems depressed, not always but most of the time. When he’s happy, he’s HAPPY[more than happy if you weren’t sure]. People tend to treat him like dirt because he’s blind hence the depression. If he could be president, he’d unite the districts so Panem can be one yet again. If he could completely re-shape a district, it would be District Twelve because he’s seen the tributes and they’re completely underfed, and have a ‘hollow’ look in their eyes.

History
When Daniel was a child, he couldn’t tell right from wrong [physically and mentally]. Because of this, he has many scars most are faded away but you can still see some of them. His back is the home of the remaining four. His father beat him whenever he did something wrong, though Daniel could not control what he did because of his disability. Whenever he’d walk away from his brother that was carrying him around his father would run after him and beat him. From birth he was blind, when was eight his father wanted to have an operation on them to give him sight, he said no because he wanted to be himself.
When he was five, he started playing the violin, viola, practically anything with a bow. He started performing at nine and started making money off it at twelve. He had a problem with the children at school; they had made fun of him because of his disability. He could hear them whispering, he heard their voices all around him. The voices haunted him. When he was sixteen, he left school to continue with music and during the period of time he was at school he was busy mastering other instruments.
Daniel, when it comes to girls, doesn’t care MUCH about appearance. His brother describes the girls appearances [his brother is an author and describes them vividly] but all Daniel cares about is the girls eyes, only because his own had failed him and the color faded from his own. Daniel believes that when the color faded from his eyes, his identity went with it. People across the capitol hate him because of his talent, though with the hate comes admiration.
