Hunger Games RP Tips
So, you have a Tribute now. You want to prepare for the Games, but the very idea of going through a bunch of long threads in the two previous Game cycles doesn't appeal to you. There's a solution! People who have had a Tribute who made it to the Top Ten, I'm recruiting you to post a few roleplaying-related tips in this thread. Post about how you got muse for your character, how they grew as a person, etc.
Anyways this thread is a pretty basic idea--go for it people. Any questions may be asked about it (:
To start us off I'll tell you a little bit about how I made Dru work for me last cycle:
Exaggerated traits.
Dru was a vain creature so I magnified this. Every post included some sort of physical description comparing and contrasting her old, beautiful face and her starving, still striking Hunger Games face. Her inhuman lack of empathy became extreme to the point that she could think about and actually go through with killing people with a grin on her face. Dru became the monster she had always been. I stripped her of her fashion love, anxiety when she doesn't look amazing, dull voice and other useless traits, instead building on and working with the skeleton of my Dru charry. Underneath it all she was always ruthless, so ruthless she became. RPing her with a basic view on life that was both mixed up and also continued on with a theme added flavor to my posts, If I may say so myself. It was like a backbone to all the psycho moments, the tender times with Aranica, the fighting posts and finally thedescription of my inner-selfHellish dimension she ended up in post-mortum. To hear more about this skeleton effect, check out my Guide to Hunger Games RPing in the Tutor Board.
