Augustus Rainor (District 7)

Augustus Rainor has dark brown hair that reaches to the middle of his neck. His eyes are a light shade of blue. He is the perfect lumberjack, with a height of nearly six feet. He weighs in at about 180 pounds. His skin is fairly tan from the long days in the sun.
Like any hard worker in the districts, his body has many scars. A particulary deep scar runs down his arm, with another, smaller scar running across his right cheek. His arms are muscular from long days of axe weilding. He usually wears the typical outfit for a District 7 worker, denim coveralls over a dark plaid shirt. He also wears a massive silver beltbuckle depicting a bear, which has been passed down through his family for generations.

Augustus is fairly shy, but also has tremendous anger issues. He is not a social person, and prefers the company of the forest over that of people. When it comes to group work, he likes to take the job of guard, so he can leave the group and go hunting.
He can be angered by even the smallest of things. When he gets mad, he is blinded by his anger and sometimes acts out of instinct. Once, when he was younger, on of the guard dogs that accompanied his group bit him. Augustus picked up an axe, and brought it down into the dogs skull.
People knew after that incident to keep away from Augustus, and that isolation is what eventually led to his shyness. At school, he was viewed as an outcast, and his only freinds were the ones who worked in the same group as him. In the forest, Augustus and his fellow lumberjacks occupy their time by whistling tunes and listening to the mockingjays repeat them.

Augustus Rainor was born to a poor family in the south-eastern part of District 7. He had been taught to weild an axe from the time he turned 5, but his real favorite weapon was the spear. Whenever it was his day to guard a group of lumberjacks, he would scour the forest for animals with a ragged spear.
Once, he had fought a massive brown bear with his wooden spear and his axe. The bear had been gathering fish out of a strem, and Augustus had come up behind it. The bear sensed him, and turned to attack, but before it could a spear had potruded into its heart. As it fell, it swept its paw across Augustus' face, leaving a deep gash.
Augustus has one sibling, a brother named Tang who is only 3. His father, Ray, is a lumberjack, while his mother, Maria, teaches at the local schoolhouse. Though the family earns enough that Augustus has never had to sign up for tesserae, it is still nice when he manages to bring home bacon from a wild hog on fish he spears out of the river. Augustus is one of the few people who actually enjoys watching the Hunger Games outside of the Capital, mostly because of the beautiful scenery in the many arenas. He hopes to someday travel around, though he knows that can never be achieved.
