Milo Piper D7

Milo stands at 5'9'' with the average physic of a district seven male (which is a fairly strong average). His skin is quite light and annoyingly sensitive (though you'll never find him complaining about it). When you see him there is usually some kind of blemish or rash on his arms, legs, or even face since he doesn't bother covering them up and can't afford to buy clothes that don't bother him.

His hair is brown though he likes to lighten it up once in a while, either completely or, more likely, with streaks. He goes quite a while between haircuts and doesn't bother much with his hair in the morning so it's usually somewhat long and messy. His eyes are dark blue and completely forgettable. Anyone who takes the time to pay enough attention might see the potential for darkness lurking there but it's not notable, nor is it relevant.

The main focus of Milo's face is always his smile. Milo's the kind of person whose face undergoes a complete change when they smile. Or perhaps when he's not seeing as the way you'll usually find him is with a smile on his face. In any case it's hard not to cheer up when he's around with his light-up-the-room grin.

Milo wears whatever he has that fits, he's not very conscious of his clothes and sometimes wears T-shirts that are older then he is. He would probably dress better if he had the money to but never dwells on that.

Milo has quite of bit of energy and you can see that in his stance, the way he'll constantly shift his weight even as he stands still. When he is relaxing he all the energy seems to disappear though as he seems to concentrate only on the comfort, even in places that shouldn't be comfortable.

If you where to describe Milo in one word it would be 'optimist'. He lives his whole life with that 'glass half full' mentality so religiously it tends to get on peoples nerves after a while. He's stubborn in this view too, people have to agree when he explains how things could always be worse and will not allow people to wallow in grief or self pity.

This doesn't mean he's impossible to be around, he's actually quite friendly. Well maybe overly so, he's that guy who'll know your name and start talking to you but you have know idea who he is. This is because he has an excellent memory for names and faces and also because he's moved around so much (or maybe because he's moved around so much).

Milo has quite a bit of empathy as well which takes off the creepiness of his over-enthusiastic friendliness but is the primary motivation for his darker side. He can't stand watching people suffer and watching The Games hurts him so much it makes him physically sick. Despite this he still feels that things could one day be sorted out peacefully with the capitol.

Milo is also a cowered. He'll stand up and try to find a way to avoid violence, even when it's none of his business, but as soon as things come to blows he's the first to flee. He doesn't like getting hurt but he's more afraid of hurting someone else even if he isn't strong enough to do so.

Milo's parents where dirt poor when they met but both wanted a large family. Their friends whispered their relief secretly when complications with Milo's birth meant his mom couldn't have any more children. Despite them, and despite their lack of income they adopted two more children when Milo was five making the family as it is today.

Milo seems to have gotten his constant restlessness from his mother. Her need for a constant change in scenery has had them moving around district seven more then ten times since Milo's birth (though it might also have been the rent collectors). If travel between the districts where allowed Milo has no doubt they would have lived in every one by now. Despite this Milo's family has always managed to make wherever they stay feel like home.

Nowadays they're all doing slightly better for themselves since Milo's been old enough to work along with his parents to bring in some extra cash. It even seems that they may be sticking in they same house for a little while. Of course this can change with a simple change in his mother's mood but even she seems to accept that they should stay where the money is.
