Appearance:
Lilly is a mid' sized 15 year old girl. She is about 5'7 and weighs 120 pounds. She looks thin and delicate. Lilly has soft features. She has long fingers and long lightly curled wavy hair. Lilly's hair is a dark bistre brown, it starts wavy but it's tips curl lightly like bells. She has slightly lighter auburn highlights in her hair that are barely noticeable unless her hair is drenched. Her hair is usually loose and has a silky and smooth look. But at night her hair slowly starts to dull out until the morning when it looks smooth again.Personality:
Lilly's eyes are a deep oak brown eyes that are tinted a light honey color in the center. She has light cinnamon skin in the summer, and a dark apricot skin tone in the winter. Lilly usually wears old clothing and boots since her family isn't the wealthiest. She tends to wear "warm" colors and a small and thin gold chain. Her father bought her a small pink marble rose that she wears on the end of the chain.
Lilly has a strong character. She is willy and hates being put down. If angered Lilly may react fiercely. Lilly would never dream of backing down from a challenge. Her pride usually gets the best of her and causes her to have a big mouth at times. Though she is observant and probably won't find much wrong with you, insisting that every person is different and has a different way of viewing the world. Though their are those people she dislikes for no apperant reason.History:
Lilly at other times may be good humored. She is understanding and has a clear view of the world, but at times she tends to be close minded and won't listen to reason. She is the kind of person who could careless if you hated her as long as you didn't get in the way of her ambitions, which she would do anything to accomplish, unless she found something far more exciting to do. She refuses to take sides in inter-family fights and is very clever and witty. In a fight Lilly won't give up until her last breathe is gone and would refuse to admit defeat. Another pride thing.
Lilly isn't a "clingy" person, she is relaxed and likes personal space. Lilly is easily aggrivated by those she sees everyday and disliked people who talk about her too much, even if it is good. This results to her habit of not gushing over a subject for long. Lilly is a over achiever, she never says a job is done until it looks beautiful. This results to her many long nights of no sleep. Lilly is easy jealous and constantly tries to improve her wood works because she believes another person's is better. She can't stand it when people boast and will probably zone out on you if you do. If she doesn't zone out, she will probably leave, or react in a matter-of-fact way, completely disagreeing with you or ending the conversation.
Lilly was born at night in a small wooden medicine cottage. Her mother (age 19) and father (age 20) have always felt close to the nature and didn't want to go to the hospital. The old lady caring for her mother that night had brought many light pink lillies to soothe her mother's panick. Seeing the flowers her young mother deceided to name her young daughter after the beautiful delicate things. Her father wasn't present that night since the tributes were being called and his brother was still 18.Codeword: odair
Lilly hasn't ever felt particularly proud of her parents. The couple where cute together, but not always compatible, the two always argued and ignored Lilly and her older brother Peter. Peter didn't care much and was usually out of the house with friends or girls, so Lilly was usually left uncared for and behind. But this never bothered Lilly, instead it gave her the liberty to do as she pleased. But Peter wasn't a horrible brother and some nights returned home to take Lilly to the woods to teach her about nature. The young girl took great facination in this and happily walked around the woods with her older brother and his occasional friends.
At the age of 10 she took facination in wood carving and watched her father do it night after night. After a few weeks she built the courage to ask him to teach her, surprised be her request he willingly taught her while her mother angrily stormed around the house wondering why nobody bothered helping her clean. Peter at the time became 13 therefore old enough to be Reaped, which worried Lilly. Since at times Peter wasn't so bad.
Three years later Lilly became old enough to be Reaped, her brother after her birthday has tried to keep her hidden hoping that somehow she would become lucky and wouldn't be put on the list. But the young girl was always trying to show off and never left a market unnoticed. This of course infuriated Peter and worried their mother. Two weeks before the Reaping her mother left the house, she has never returned. Lilly's father was worried but hasn't found her yet.
Lilly's mother use to be a artist, her skill with a wooden brush was often recognised, but the young woman rarely picked up the brush, refusing to have the spotilight on her. Lilly's father was a wood carver and hunter, he would occasionally bring home fresh meat, but he usually sold it at the markets along with the wood jewelry and small chairs and tables, but her father rarely sales due to the fact he is horrible with a bow and arrow and his only salvation is a small knife. Peter was leanring to create wood carving for buildings and large balconies. Peter is famous for his beautiful animal designs on table corners and arm chairs. Lilly has yet to decide what her career path will be.
When Peter turned 18 he left the house and built his own. He is constantly inviting Lilly over, but the girl refuses not liking her brother's wife. Sue, Pete's wife is unskilled and constantly complains about everything. This annoys Lilly very much, not to mention the fact that every time Sue sees Lilly she has something rude to say questioning her taste in clothing and education.
Lilly's daily schedule is to make breakfast for her father and herself then go out to the woods to collect wood. Once the wood is collected the young girl starts working on carving small pieces of jewelry. After a while she goes to the market to sell the necklaces and earrings. The young girl, unlike her father, does sell and uses the money to buy bread or cheep cheese. Around mid-morning she goes to school and stays there late afternoon. From the afternoon to the night Lilly spends her time trying to make friends and have fun, just as her brother appeared to do.
Lilly and her family have never been poor, nor have they been rich. They just stand in the border line between poverty and middle-class. Fine clothing the only thing they lack for special occasions, so if one was to come up, Lilly would have to save her money for a month before being able to buy a decent gown and new shoes.
