Pax Kares (D1)

Pax is a somewhat average District 1 16-year-old boy with light skin, an athletic build, and an obvious arrogance simply in his appearance. His short hair is red, simply red with no other colors to tone it and his blue eyes have a sparkle to them when he's in a good mood...when he's in not-so-good of a mood, most people don't even wanna think about looking in his eyes. His stare can be damning, or calming. Pax's body is muscular and toned.
Because of his fair complexion, Pax's skin tends to burn before gaining any tan, as well as becoming very flushed when he works out or performs any type of physical activity. His sisters, May and Geena, tend to tease him when he comes inside after a run, telling him that his "face is the color of you hair." Whenever the girls tease him, he just ruffles their hair and smiles (a rarity due to his intensity).

Pax's personality is almost as tough as his appearance. His shell is tough and not many people break through it, but those that do find a young man with a heart of gold, but 3-inches of steel surrounding it. The only people he is gentle around are his 6-year-old twin sisters.
Pax spends most of his time working essentially as a Career, though he'd rather not go into the Arena if he can avoid it. He's trained his entire life to go into the Arena, but doesn't let anyone know how relieved he is when his name isn't pulled.
In the short time that Pax isn't training, he enjoys coming up with stories to tell his sisters. But outside of training, Pax doesn't do much, and is quiet when around others leading him to be considered a big and quiet guy.
Pax's life has been formed around training and his sisters, causing his personality to be even more distinct. He can go from beating the sh*t out of a sack to cuddled up in bed, telling a story to Geena and May. Though the only ones to ever see the "sweet" side of Pax are Geena and May, as well as his parents on the off occasion they're around.

Pax Lewis Kares has known nearly nothing but training as a Career for the Hunger Games, despite wishing he'd never have to go into the Arena.
The oldest and only son of Kap and Layce Kares, Pax has been the tough and responsible man he's been expected to be. Despite coming off as a tough guy, Pax has a soft spot for his twin sisters, May and Geena, who he's spent much of his free time taking care of.
Outside of training, Pax's life has been simple and truly quite easy. His parents both work long hours, making items for the Capitol, so they've been set OK as far as finances go, but leaving the only difficulty of raising May and Geena and making Pax their main caregiver.
Every year, when the Reaping comes around, Pax breathes a sigh of relief when his name isn't pulled, because if he were to go into the Arena he'd have to live, or else his sisters would have nearly no one. And when it came time for the twins to be eligible for tesserae, Pax would never allow it. If any of the Kares were to go into the Arena, it would be Pax, and he would give every last bit of energy to killing every other tribute. And every Reaping, these things would run through Pax's mind and he would prepare himself just in case he did get chosen.
