Sky Picket District 1

Sky has boy-cut, short hair, in the back, and the sides of the front of her hair curls under her chin. She has bangs that sweep from half of her forehead, curving diagonally, into her hair. Her hair is neon green, due to dye that her aunt gives her.

She has bably blue-grey irises, and pupils that look like you're looking into the night sky, all of this contained in almond shaped eyes. Her nose is thin and straight, looking pinched on the end. She has an angled jaw and a strong, sqaure chin. Her eyebrows are thick and dark black, and her lips are seemingly swollen and chapped most of the time, due to de- hydratition

Her skin is a carmalized peach color, almost making her look light brown, but really, she's white in ethnicity, with a few freckles on her shoulders . She has thin arms, and long hands, with short fingernails, and seriously callused palms. When she flexes her arms, though, you can see some muscle definition. She has a thin scar underneath her left arm, running from her shoulder to the end of her arm . She also has a bunch of oval shaped scars on her forearm.Her legs are strong and worn lookking, thin and delicate, with long feet and toes. Her feet are almost rock hard from her never wearing any shoes. She could step on a thorn and would feel only slight pressure. She is five foot, two inches and 105 pounds, a normal weight for her age and height, not skinny, not obese.

Sky is a talkative person. She doesn't talk so much as to annoy you, but she talks, just to keep life going. She can guess people's moods easily, and acts to them ,in particular, in a way that would make them cheery. People usually like to talk to her and consider her funny, and a real cheerer-upper. Sky isn't, however, the type to NEVER SHUT UP. She can be quiet, and thinks to herself. She is EXTREMELY stubbourn, and doesn't take commands well. Her stouborness often prevents her from doing certain things she wants to, like having fun, just so she can prove a point.

She is well spoken, and likes to speak her mind, even if it be at the penalty of death. She can't be insulted easily, and isn't insulted often to her face. However, the kids at her school talk about her behind her back. Often they call her weird, weird for not wearing shoes, weird for dressing in clothes that might be worn in District 12. They think she is weird and dumb, but secretly a few of them envy how she always seems to be happy.
Sky loves the land. Hence the lack of shoes. She likes to feel the land between her toes and hands. She lays down sometimes and swears she can hear the Eath breath. She doesn't want to harm anything, that's why she is a vegetarian.

She doesn't easily hate things but she HATES the capitol and the Hunger Games. That is another way she is weird, she would not want to be in the games, unlike most people in her district who beleives that the games are a source of pride. The careers sicken her. She hopes to someday take the capitol down.

One major flaw of hers is to be EASILY distracted. She can be serioudly mad, and see something else, and forget she's mad, therefore, she becomes easy to trick. Another huge flaw of hers, is that, she can want to do something, and just not stick to it.

Sky lives with her mother, father, and nine other siblings. She is the oldest of the nine , and the only person in her whole family who enters the games. She learned how to tell plants apart when she was little, taught by her father, and always thought that that would be a good quality to have if she was selected for the games.

Her father has one sister, Aunt Maya, who lives with all eleven of them. Aunt Maya helps take care of all eleven of them, and Sky is her favorite of the children. She likes how Sky is different. Sky is the only child who gets a present(the dye). The other eight children no nothing of this, and her Aunt Maya doesn't even tell Sky's parents that she loves Sky the most.

Her family is rich, and Sky has the clothes of somebody in District 12. Her mother BEGS her to wear shoes, but Sky always stubborounly refuses. Her mother works as a butcher (against Sky's will) and her father makes jewlery for the capitol. It's not what you consider a dangerous job, but her father has scarred hands, that appear worn, and he only has four fingers on one hand, due to the fact that his finger got stuck in a machine during his job. Sky dislikes his job, and jewelery, becuase of the fact he lost a finger at his job.
