Yazmine Westfield **District 2** [DONE]

Yazmine has an athletic build, lean toned muscles, and knows her way around a fight. Her facial features are defined and mysterious. She has high cheekbones and stunning hazel eyes, which are slightly slanted. Yazmine has strawberry blonde hair which is cut slightly shorter in the back to help frame her face perfectly. She often pulls her bangs over one eye, which annoys her grandmother to no end, which is really why she does it.

Whenever Yazmine has a chance, she dies her hair with purple or blood red streaks, yet another rebellion against her overprotective grandmother. Yazmine has one tattoo of three stars right on her collarbone, this is for her younger sister and brothers, who mean the world to her. Yazmine is almost always wearing a saphire necklace carved into the shape of a quarter moon. It was a present from her parents on her tenth birthday, just a year before they died. Yazmine loves to wear simple sundresses during the hot months, or warm jackets, a shirt and jeans during the cooler months.

Yazmine almost always has her fingernails painted a bright color, with beautiful designs. She has smooth ivory skin and full lips. When her hair is long or pulled back, her ears stick out at an odd angle, which is why she prefers to keep her hair short. Due to her training for the Hunger games, she is very strong. Her weapon of favor, if she ever gets picked, is the sword.

Yazmine has an extremely bad attitude, but not really in a bad way. She is feirce and spunky and never steps down from a challange. She is very sure of her abilities, and sometimes overestimates what she can handle. She is also VERY stubborn. She will never show weakness, even if a task is way too much for her to handle.

There is almost nothing Yazmine wants more than to be in the Hunger Games.She dreams of proving herself to the district and to her family. She tells her siblings all about how someday, SHE will win the Hunger Games and bring honor to District 2. Everyday, she trains hours on end, survival techniques, hand-to-hand combat, anything she can think of. Surprisingly though, the Hunger Games are just a second to what really matters to her.

The most important thing to Yazmine is her family. She is sort of the head of the house since she only lives with her frail grandmother and little siblings. She is extremely loyal by nature, whether it be friend or family. She has never, in her life, broken a promise. Though, she can feel overwhelmed at times, having to juggle school, her family and training, though wouldn't have things any other way.

Going along with her attitude, Yazmine has a very, very short temper with adults, or kids near her own age. She's often known to snap at anyone who gets on her wrong side. If she hates you, you'll knowit. She also has problems forgiving people right away, and can hold a grudge for a long time. (She still holds a grudge against her grandmother for calling her a spoiled brat a while ago). Though, when around people who need help, terrified, hurt, young, she turns into a completely different person, someone who is caring, gentle and patient.

Yazmine comes from a fairly weathly family in District 2. Her mother, Cici Westfield, and her father Marion Westfield, made a lot of money while they were alive, and put most of it away for their children. Thats why their grandmother and Yazmine don't really need to work as hard as some of the kids in her district. Though, District 2 is pretty wealthy anways, so it isn't much of an accomplishment. Yazmine's siblings are Spike, age 13, Mitchelle, age 12, and Sierra, age 10. Her grandmother is Lilac Westfield, wealthy business owner, and caring old woman (when she wants to be)

Yazmine's parents died when she was ten. The cause of death was never proven, but most think it was poisoning. And the person who poisoned them? Yazmine's crazy Aunt Milla, but, this was never proven, so no conviction was made, and her aunt still lives in the house across from them. Yazmine swears the one day, her aunt is going to pay for taking her parents away.

Yazmine lives in a simple, one-story house. It two bedrooms, one bathroom and and a kitchen. Yazmine shares a bed with Sierra and Spike shares a bed with Mitchelle in the slightly smaller bedroom. Their grandmother sleeps in the bigger bedroom all by herself. Yazmine really doesn't think it's fair, never has, but has learned not to question her grandmother.

Yazmine has one "pet". A year ago, she was training for she stumbled over a little black blob. She thought nothing of it until she heard the blob mew piteously. Yazmine immediatly went back to investigate and found that the black thing was a small kitten. It's eyes were scratched and bleeding, but otherwise, was comepletely fine. Yazmine took it home, and with the help of her siblings, nursed the kitten back to health. The wounds on it's eyes healed, but it was blind, there was no way it could be fixed. Yazmine named the kitten Charcoal and it has practically followed her everywhere since. It's extremely protective of her and refuses to leave her side, only when he has to.
