Selena Patterson (Wanderer)

Selena has a body that is slim, but not to the point where her ribs are showing. She has enough fat on her to prevent this and the fat is almost balanced out by the muscle. Her stomach is somewhat muscular but not overly muscular. Her legs are a bit on the long side for a girl which helps her to get more power into her step when retreating from an enemy. Her curves are soft in contours sense. There is also a dark spot on her right elbow as well as a lighter one on her left elbow. She has no idea how one became dark and the other became light. Down the right upper arm is an ugly and deep scar that has retained it's shape and depth even with the growth of new cells. Lastly, Selena has a tattoo of a wolf howling that she etched onto the back of her right shoulder blade with some homemade inks that were made of non-toxic natural material. This was etched on by a friend of hers. 

Moving from the body to another part of her appearance, her face. Her face has many more angles in it than most other women do. Her eyes are a deep sea green color. Her eyebrows are a dark brown in color and very thin making her eyes a bit more noticeable. Her hair is a dark brown and always cut a bit jaggedly because she cuts it with one of the two massive "Rambo" knives that she carries in thigh sheaths at all times unless fighting or trimming her hair. These happen very infrequently. 

Her clothing is pretty plain in terms of garments. She wears a brown tank that is cut off at the bottom, just above the bellybutton. She wears a pair of brown cargo pants on her legs at all times. On her hands, she wears a pair of brown fingerless gloves. Around her waist, she wears a belt that was made to be heavy duty. Attached to her belt are thigh sheaths that hold her massive knives on the outside of each thigh. For cold weather, she has a pair of thick cargo pants that are about the same color as her other clothing as well as a brown leather jacket that she wears over the tank top. She wears black, thick soled combat boots on her feet and a brown backpack that has a black front strap that holds extra clothing and other necessities. 

Selena's tattoo is one thing that gives her the nickname "The Wolf". The other is her personality. To start off, she is extremely rude and vulgar towards most people she meets. The only exception would be a peacekeeper which would make her find the nearest hiding spot. She usually starts by giving them a cold stare that would be cold enough to freeze the blood of those who knew her by reputation. If the person starts to converse with her, she either goes to extremes and partially draws one of her blades while growling at the person or she responds to the person with some sort of retort before returning to the stare. 

Like a wolf, she is savage. Her combat is usually triggered by someone pointing something like a gun at her as well as the person pulling a sword. If anyone has seen her in combat, they would usually see a blur of blades, hacking and cutting at every part of open flesh she can find. This blind rage happens only occasionally when she is prompted into a fight or under extreme stress. This can either aid or hinder her depending on how many people she is up against. Any group higher than two hinders her if she gets into the blind rage. The scariest part about it is what comes from her mouth. The growls increase in intensity and eventually become an inhuman yell as she swings. 

The last part of her is more like a mother wolf who is loyal to her friends. Her loyalty extends above and beyond most friendships that usually break down. Her loyalty is usually only towards her true friends (they consist of Ghost, Tom, and Katrina) and she has gotten them all out of a few scrapes before disappearing off of their radars until now. Her loyalty only extends that far though. 

Selena was born in District Nine to a the Patterson family. Chloe and Nicholas Patterson were extremely happy when they got a girl to help keep their two boys, Oliver and Peter, in check. It was almost ironic the way her life played out. By the age of four (her brothers were about eight) they were the ones keeping her in check. She would constantly growl at them as well as hiss at them while narrowing her eyes when she was about seven. 

She was repeatedly suspended from school for beating up a kid who was around twice her size (as well as getting battered and bloody in the process) and setting fire to the outside stage during a winter candlelight performance (written in a peacekeeper report as "just another clumsy kid with a candle"). She eventually was expelled at age eight and began to be taught by her parents. The subjects depended on who was actually teaching her. Her mother taught her the main subjects from school while her father taught her more about the real world which started around the age of twelve and included how to hunt, track, and trap with her surroundings (these were used later for other purposes than for just animals). The hunting of deer became the hunting of bears which left her with the massive scar as well as a fighting style that she modified to her own purposes. She still is working out the kinks. 

This extended up until she turned fifteen and began to go hunting with her father. Her father gave her two knives that were "Rambo" style (for those of you who have seen any Rambo movies) making them extremely long and broad. She adopted the double bladed hunting style which used a lot of stealth and speed. Her father taught her how to use both simultaneously for the best effect. 

The rebellion of her mind came on the eve of her eighteenth birthday. She was away from home with her mother and they were walking home in the dark. They were surrounded by a gang who aided in deepening the scar from the bear making it look even more disgusting. They held her down and made her watch her mother be harassed and then kill her. Selena went into the rage for the first time that night and escaped by actually nailing the gang member who was holding her in the family jewels. She stole into a hunting store, took the clothes that she has now, a few hollow tipped needles (for sewing and stitching, and the backpack and heavy duty belt. She left that night and never returned to her home. 

It was pretty funny that she ended up happening upon the sixteen year old Ghost as she was on her way out. She noticed the tattoo and asked him if he would do one for her. He nodded and began on the tattoo of the wolf that has become the nickname the Capitol uses. The Wolf ended up leaving Ghost and wandered for a bit before she literally ran into Tom and Katrina on their way to District Nine. She actually helped them get out of a few tough scrapes on their way to district nine. She left the district outskirts and now resides in a tree she found that was high enough to make camp. She started by making a tree hammock out of rope she stole and a tarp she had woven in the forest that was surprisingly strong for being made of vines and grasses.
