Anna Melnick

Thin in a completely unnatural way that hints at Anna's low standing in the district. She's taller then most the girls her age but not by much. She has wispy red hair never styled in any particular way besides being combed, the flyaway nature of her hair usually has it looking at lest slightly unkempt.

She has gray eyes that will either look at you with complete neutrality or an unwarranted and intense anger. Her mouth is thin and seems set to a permanent scowl but will at times flicker to a straight line, the closest she ever gets to smiling usually.

Her apparel consists of dingy, over-sized, thin, or washed out (or some combination thereof) apparel. These are the clothes available to Anna from the donation box of the community home she lives in.

Internally Anna is always angry. Living in the Community home gives her plenty to be angry about but she decided long ago that being openly hostile only leads to misery. So she keeps her mouth shut fearing that the poison that floats around inside her will find it's way from her head to her mouth.

Though when she finds herself facing someone she feels holds no damaging sway over her life she will often take the opportunity to show her true colours. Though she likes to think of herself as realistic, smart, and controlled she's really just extremely pessimistic, often makes very dangerous mistakes, and even more often lets her emotions get the better of her.

Anna will never admit to this but her greatest flaw (at least from her point of view) is her curiosity. She can rarely keep from looking into almost everything which completely conflicts with her 'keep your head down' mentality and causes her to hate that aspect of herself.

Anna was too young to remember when her parents died; she assumes it was some kind of boating accident. The only life she's ever known is the unfair and depressing life within the District four Community home. She is not a career, not because she does not want to be (she's never actually thought about it) but because no one would ever consider her career material. She spends her days either going to school, or gutting fish in a smelly shack by the beach
