Hazelle Thorne - District 4 - Finished

Hazelle is "average looking". If you call "average looking" to be rather skinny. Even though she's skinny, she has an athletic-type body. Although she has dark roots, Hazelle has blond hair. Her eyes aren't the usual blue, it's a dark hazel. Yet she constantly considers it as brown, when the hazel is obvious. But there are flecks of dark brown around her pupil.
She's a little tan, with the occasional sunburn. Hazelle isn't very tall; she's only five feet, two inches. Her face is dotted with faded freckles. She claims she doesn't have any, but if you look closely, you can see them. Her feet are small, and Hazelle usually goes around barefoot.

Hazelle wouldn't hurt a fly. She absolutely loves the ocean, and constantly takes a swim. That's probably why she goes around barefoot. Although she sees hunting fish as something terrible, she loves to (safely) catch fish and keep them in her bucket to take care of. Hazelle will usually take an a sick animal, and heal them back to health.

Although Hazelle will gladly help someone, she's terribly afraid of the wild. She likes to be alone, at first, but then begins to hyperventilate. Sometimes she can be overconfident, looking like she's an obnoxious brat, or something. Sometimes Hazelle will be a coward, and back out of a face off (which happens occasionally at school). And then there are those times when Hazelle will be so tired that she'd have to whine and act needy.
Hazelle knows basic surviving skills. Like using a bow&arrow (which she isn't very good at).

Although she's terrific at finding edible plants, and hunting fish. But, of course, Hazelle's very sensitive about killing the fish, naming each one and handling them with care. Hazelle is, also, scared of camping in the woods. Yet she's fine camping by the coast. . .

Hazelle was born in the kitchen. Yes, it's an odd place to have been born, but Hazelle's proud of it. She had always been surrounded by the love and care of her family. Both her parents are alive, and have stable jobs. Her father is a fisherman, her mother a cook. She has two older sisters, both 5 years older than her. Both are cooks, alongside with their mother.

As a young child, her father would bring her to work with him. Her father would make sure they used safe catches, to keep Hazelle's innocence. Sure enough, she did. Everyday, even when her father didn't need to work, she would go to the beach and sit on the sand. And just observe her surroundings. Just observe.

When Hazelle began to grow older, her sisters married. This hurt Hazelle heavily because she was very close to her sisters. Now that they had moved away, she had turned bitter. She was depressed and on the verge of suicide. Her father, slowly, got her to be herself again.

Now that Hazelle has been "cured" from her depression, she's been obsessed with the beach. Especially with walking around barefoot. Most nights she would camp on the beach and stay there the whole day. Observing the ocean. Sketching the wild animals and fish.

I like the name Hazelle. o3o
