What I look like...
[/blockquote]Gale has a lovely light bronze hair in the sun, but in the shade it’s a deep and strong bronze. Her eyes, oh her eyes, are a distinct shade of green. Sea green. It’s like the shade of both her parent’s eyes combined. Gale is 5”8’, an average height for a girl in her district but longs to become a little taller. She’s got quite a bit of muscle on her because she has to haul and create nets. Her fingers aren’t long but they are slender. Her nose comes to a little point and her head is oddly shaped, pentagonal maybe? She doesn’t mind what people say about it but, it does hurt. Her features are what separates her from the rest of the teenagers in the district. Eyes too deeply colored. Hair multi-toned. But it’s exactly what she loves about herself.
Gale is a normal looking teenager in stature. But she can’t haul up most nets because of lack of muscle but her skill in creating them is much better. Her skin isn’t pale but isn’t tan, a weird completion. Her hair is most of the times is let out, but when working is set out in a ponytail. When she’s working her appearance is completely different, her hair is in a ponytail, her skin is pale, and her eyes look grey. Especially, when working on a boat in a storm, the concentration on her face is noticeable, there is a massive change in look and personality when working. Had she not be working, all hours of her day would be at home and her life and look would be dull and pointless.
Gale has a good sense in fashion, but District Four has no cause to look good. Though most people in District Four DO look good! She usually goes towards semi-[in]formal when going out with friends and at home. People like it. She likes it. No-one disagrees with it. So it makes EVERYONE HAPPY!
What I feel...
[/blockquote]Gale is a ‘different’ teenager. She isn’t all bubbly and giggly; she doesn’t talk about boys and drool over them. She creates knots which she uses for nets; heavy rope is hard to carry. Her father is a spear-fisherman, but he uses nets from time to time- all made by Gale. She’s as soft as a pillow when at home and around her friends, but when working as hard as granite and stone. People have wanted to get to know about her, but they’ve seen her when she’s working, they’re afraid of her. Gale has a handful of friends, she can count the number of friends she has off on her fingers. Gale is extremely intelligent, she is a straight A student. Most people in her class are envious of her, they want her intelligence
What makes Gale so different from the girls in the District is the ability to understand biology and the anatomy of certain things. She can comprehend different things, she can have intellectual conversations with many adults. Education in District Four is very low, though her parents are much smarter ~ Higher Class Homo sapiens~ than most of the adults. Gale’s friends aren’t as smart as her but she teaches them and has little groups teaching kids how to tie knots and make nets. On occasions, Gale can lose her temper, and become a pyromaniac. She’ll burn things like rope and parchment. One thing she can’t control is her temper… Oh! And her arrogance. Gale things she knows everything, but she doesn’t. She doesn’t like people proving her wrong, this lights her fuse and makes her lose her temper.
Gale doesn’t deserve to be called ‘The Smartest’ she believes that there are people, younger, and better than her at what she’s good at. She also believes that there are people OLDER than her and worse off. She believes that everything she has is a gift. A gift from The Creator[God]. But what makes her so unique is the way she can make something that came out mean, and was meant to BE mean, seem harmless. She’s cute, like her voice. Her voice isn’t high pitched but it sounds cute . It’s what makes her who she is. She believes that the largest flaw in being unique is that EVERYONE is unique. When she finds someone that can do something that someone else can’t, she will say "You're unique, just like everyone else!"
What I felt...
CodewordGale works her a- Bottom off! She’s been on many ships, fishing, sailing, transportation. You name it, she’s been on it! Her father says she works harder that he does. It makes him jealous, and also makes him work twice as hard. She laughs at how hard he tries. Gale’s parents have a second house, one of the rooms in this house has a room dedicated to Gale’s nets. The rest of it is a house they put out for rent. They make 60 coins[dollars] a month. Which is quite a lot in the district. Her mother was once a sailor, she’d take out boats with only her and her husband. Those trips ended when Gale was born. Gale feels that her parents stopped having fun when she was born. She doesn’t like it, the feeling of guilt. It weighs heavily on Gale’s heart.
Gales fingers have many scars on them. All from too much rope-work. Gale has had too many injuries while working on boats. Broken her right arm from the elbow to the wrist on a fishing boat. Rolled an ankle and broke the other on a cruise ship – [In a storm]. Gale has had more injuries than a girl should in a lifetime. Ironically, she has NEVER been sick. How can a girl who has had so many injuries never get infections or the flu or a virus or any sickness for that matter? It boggles her and her mother’s mind. It makes her think; ‘Am I immune to all sicknesses? Is my immune system that strong?’ She’ll never know, until she meets a Capitol doctor. She’ll never meet a Capitol doctor, and she knows that.
Gale has been in many fights with other girls, and guess what!? They were about boys! Yes, that’s right, Gale has been in fights with other girls about boys! This was when she was twelve and thirteen, where she tried to get into the pants of the first boy she saw. She was a nymphomaniac. When she was 12-13, sex was all that was on her mind. She once got caught with a boy that was with another girl in the district, she broke the arm of the girl that started the fight. She then got kept in the house for a month, during this time she reflected on her actions and made sure she’d never be with another guy unless she loved himor was mature enough to sustain an adult relationship. Gale enjoys watching other people be happy, but she never works up the effort to be happy herself.
Gale has been in many a-relationship, she has grown in her past experiences. This has led her into not being in a relationship today! It makes her happy seeing young relationships be destroyed by cheating and adultery. It makes her laugh seeing a person with two or more boyfriends/girlfriends. She sees a man with another woman; she walks off to tell herself NOT to do that. Gale knows right from wrong. It also makes her happy that she does and others don’t. Flawed. That is what she calls herself. She recognizes her flaws, unlike other people. She can’t control whether or not she has flaws, but she tries her best to improve on them.
