Name: Killian Chesler
Age: 19
Gender: Male
District/Area: District 4
Appearance:
Because of this he’s developed a very cocky attitude on the surface. This also leads him to be quite rude as well. In order to boost his own confidence up, he tends to take it out on others around him and has developed a habit of verbally abusing them. He has yet to come by someone he actually cares for, and therefore, is not affected by the repercussions of his words. His abrasive personality means that he's often the subject of others' ridicule and abuse. However, because he has decided to just fuck it, he almost lacks the capacity to feel shame or embarrassment and shrugs it off.
Paradoxically, Killian also has a very low self esteem. He keeps it hidden from the outside world, making sure he does not get hurt again. Making sure that no one can make him feel like his own parents did. And when people do ridicule him, he shrugs it off, but, in his mind, the insult sits growing into a whole other anxiety. In this way, Killian’s is both the patient and the therapist. While part of him dwells on the insults that make him feel like he’s not good enough, the other, the more self-absorbed part, reminds him to just fuck it.
Killian doesn’t take life too seriously. At the young age of nineteen, he feels like he has the right to do anything. He’s impulsive and never thinks things through very thoroughly. When anyone tries to tell him that he’s wrong, he’s willing to argue with them. He’s very stubborn and thinks that almost everything he says is right. And when he knows he is wrong, he has too much pride to admit it.

[/blockquote]Personality:A mop of dark brown, bouncy curls sits on Killian’s head; some of the curls are so long that they hang down in front of his forehead. Killian’s hair is usually unruly; he doesn’t bother to put gel in it or to style it in anyway. His face is thin and he has high cheekbones. When he smiles, his pointed chin and high cheekbones give the appearance of an upside down triangle. His skin is a light shade of olive, and dark freckles are scattered about his face and body.
He has big dark green eyes that are surrounded by think brown eyelashes. Above his eyes sit two bushy, dark eyebrows. His eyes and eyebrows are the only big features on his petite face, but somehow they managed to fit his appearance. Killian has a small mouth, but full pink lips. Killian has a smile that is contagious and full of genuine joy. This is surprising since his teeth are slightly crooked and have a yellowish tint to them.
Killian is a petite guy for being eighteen years old, only standing at about 5’9. He has a thin figure and a lack of muscle. Growing up in District 4, this was quite the problem since he was expected to be a career tribute. No matter how much he works out, the muscle does not seem to want to grow.
Killian likes to wear dark colors. Not so much black, but dark reds, greens or blues. He often wears tee-shirts and jeans; never one to dress up. He is almost always wearing a swimsuit under his jeans, though; anytime he goes out, he is mostly likely to stop for a swim. Killian also usually is caught wearing a thin jacket. Self-conscious about his skinny arms, he always tries to cover them up. The only time he really doesn’t mind them is when he’s swimming.
attitude. He does what he wants, and no one is going to tell him otherwise. The way he sees it, he paid his dues with his parents. He listened and obeyed everything they told him, and for what? No, now he could live his own life. And he would live it his way, no matter who got in his way. After years of not feeling wanted, accepted or good enough by his parents, Killian has developed a very fuck it

[/blockquote]History:
[/blockquote]Codeword: odairKillian was born to two former victors of the Hunger Games, Gemini and Alcandor Chesler. His parents were both raised as Careers and both had their chance to honor their families with eternal glory. Being victor’s at a young age (Gemini at 15, and Alcandor at 14), they continued to train for their remaining years, actually hoping to return to the games. They trained together, building not only strength, but a romantic relationship. Unfortunately for them, neither got the chance to make it to another games, and instead they reluctantly settled down and got married.
Both of them never stopped training, literally begging for the Capitol to ask for some adults to come and fight. When they slowly realized that they had no hope for another day in the arena, they decided to have some children. By this time, their marriage had turned cold; both were obsessed with the games and nothing else.
They’re first son was Killian, coming in at a tiny six pounds and one ounce. From the very moment Gemini held him in her arms, she was disappointed. But they pushed through and continued to train him for the games despite the fact that he kept the tiny frame throughout childhood. When he was at a young age, they just dosed overloaded him with protein and started him on aerobic exercises, but nothing allowed Killian to gain weight.
At nine-years-old, he was only 55 pounds, which was below average, let alone the weight of an athlete. Hoping that he would hit a growth spurt when the reapings began, they did not give up hope. They amped up his training, pushing him harder than any child should be pushed. All Killian wanted to do was please his parents, be accepted. He saw the way they looked at him, though, and knew that he wasn’t enough.
When it came to watching the Hunger Games, the family watched even more than was mandatory. Killian’s parents would watch each death and quiz Killian on how he could have done it better. When it wasn’t the Hunger Games season, his parents would put on recorded games. They thought that if they prepared Killian for clever tactics, his weight wouldn’t matter much.
By Killian’s tenth birthday, no matter how many weapons they trained him with, no matter how many games he watched, his parents still resented him. They started spending less time training with Killian and more time trying to have another child. When Gemini was pregnant again, they all but forgot Killian.
Killian continued to train himself, still hoping to gain his parents compassion and acceptance. But he still had trouble putting on weight, let alone building muscle. Killian could run seven miles easily, he could throw a knife from fifteen feet away and still hit the target, but his parents told him he was worthless without the muscle. He didn’t look intimidating, they said. He didn’t look like a competitor, they said. He looked like a waste of man, they said.
Killian’s new brother, Magnar, was born at seven pounds thirteen ounces to a smiling mother (even after twenty hours of labor). When Killian offered to volunteer for the Hunger Games, hoping that would take some of the light off his baby brother, his father merely scoffed and replied with a disgusted voice, “Stupid boy. You’ll just disgrace the family by getting yourself killed in front of the whole country.”
When Magnar was eight years old, he already looked ready for the Hunger Games. He was meaty, weighing almost more than his eighteen-year-old brother. He was a monster. As Killian watched him grow up learning how to kill, losing all humanity, he wondered if he really wanted that life. Yes, it would have meant his parents affection and acceptance, but at what cost?
The day after Killian’s final reaping, in which he wasn’t chosen again, his parents kicked him out of the house. They were glad to be rid of his useless ass, they said. Now they could use his room for another place to train Magnar, they said. Before they slammed the door on him for good, Alcandor threw him a wad of money. Killian assumes the money was just so he would never come back to bother his parents again and because they had some to spare.
Killian bought a small house by the coast, a place he fell in love with as a boy when his father took him fishing once. It was the only good memory of his parents he had. When they were fishing on that day, his father wasn’t his trainer, but he was actually his dad. Killian got a job at a general store for good measuring, selling goods like butter and sugar.
