Nile Martinez ~ d4

Nile is very tall for being that young. He is 6'1" and tan. His most noticable feature is his hair. It is jet black and he keeps it jelled up in spikes. His eyes are a rather unusual color. Both his eyes are very noticeable. They are both a piercing golden color. The thing that is immediately reconizable is his ear. When he was on the docks, his ear got entangled and had to be cut off to get his head free.

He is also very muscular. He wants to be a Career. He trains in his days off. Even without the training, he is still very strong from working long hours with his friend Gabriel Kouture and his father, Captain Martinez. He is usually seen with a pair of tiger hook swords. Also he has a long scar across his back.

Nile is a very kind person. He is trusting, sometimes too trusting. He was lucky to have a normal family. Well, almost. He is funny and sympathetic to others. He is a good friend to the people he likes. He wont go out of his way to make friends though.

However, on the other hand, he does have some bad traits. He is very stubborn and insist on getting his way. He is a little arrogant and sees himself as above others sometimes. He is almost never on time, unlike his father. He tends to be absent-minded and doesnt always remember things.

However, he is a fierce person if angered. He is very protective towards his family and friends. He gets into fights alot. He sees any insult to his honor or his families, he sees it as a reason to fight. He has a high self-esteem and a sharp tongue.

He had a good life. When he was a child, up until he was four, his mother and father looked after him. When he was four, his mother died in labor. After that is father, Deron, either brought him to the docks, the beach, or left him to his own devices. Hs a result he is an avid swimmer and loves the water. When left on his own, he went to the river and would build fishing weirs (Traps).

When he was 8, he signed up to work for his dad. He was given a job woking the nets in the shallower waters. That was when he injured his ear. A few year later, he was swimming and got sliced across the back with a fishing spear. He almost bled out, but was brought back to shore.

In his spare time he trains for the games. He has prodigious skill with blades. He is not a bad shot with the bow either. He is a remarkable swimmer, able to swim the channel many times. He has a pet, which is his mutt, Akira. Akira likes to retrieve and readily pulls nets of fish out of the water. He is 22 inches and 62 pounds. Akira has along shaggy blue merle colored tail to go along with his coat of like hue (look up a Louisiana Catahoula Leopard Dog for a visual of what he looks like). He has golden eyes like his owner, with a black mask on his muzzle. Akira is a good dog, more a hunting dog than anything else. He will jump into a river to drive fish to nets. He is well liked by the fishermen. His best friend is Gabriel Kouture and them and their dogs are usually together.
