♆Myles Kayne Leclair♆
♆♆
For the boy who grew up to be a man
War was his life, death his career
[Because life is oh so precious]
But that was before his twenty nine years
Passed [him] by in the form of smiles to the clandestine concubines
Coupled with hospital visits and watchings of the sea
They always said 'Myles, your destiny is far away from here'
But here he never left. [But mama, I promise I will win next year!]
A forgotten face left to lament in conquests long passed

Aren't all Careers supposed to be big, buff and towering over each and every person they see? Myles fits this outline somewhat, not actually being the huge tower, but still having the tough height and build. His weight is something kept under control by him, due to the intense training needed for each young Career. However, he still seems to be slightly overweight, but not from fat. Instead, it comes from the muscle that he has managed to gain from the tedious years of training.
Smooth from far, but far from smooth, his skin is simple to describe. Colored with somewhat of a tan, his skin is rough, a result of the constant contact with harmful things, from the training methods. Cuts, bruises, scars and other things cover the otherwise perfect skin. It covers his body, which skin should do, right, tightly molding against the muscle he has. Now, I'm not going to go on and on about his muscles, because well, they don't really matter now. They prove of no use to him. However, he does have them, and they don't lie about the strength he has.
Myles could be seen as attractive, but only by those that are into rugged looking people. His face is rough, sure, but it is merely a wall. A wall to hide all his emotions. But more on that later. His eyes are slightly set back in his head, but really, they aren't super unattractive. The color makes up for it. Bright blue, like the ocean, his eyes would probably be his best feature. Isn't that what everybody says though? His nose is thin until it reaches the bottom, where it rounds out, and eventually opens up for his nostrils. His ears poke out from his head, slightly distorted in appearance. They are like a weapon for him, something that the training has helped him achieve. Finally, there's his mouth. Thin but long lips usually curve up in a slight grin, still covering his teeth though.
A neck thick with muscle connects his head to the rest of his body. It splits out, to form his shoulders, which are just as muscular. You can see the muscle through the skin. His chest is the same thing, another sign of how well his training has worked. He doesn't have much of a six-pack, with all the grossness, but still has abs. His arms are just the same [god damn, this is repetitive]. His hands are large, and the palms rough. That's a result from the constant leather hilts of weapons you'd often find in his hands. Now, do I have to say it again? Fine. His legs are muscular too, a result from the jogging. His feet are larger than average for his age, and the base is covered in rough skin too.
Athletic socks are the only thing you'd see him wearing. Thin socks that absorb the sweat, something that only the richer Districts could afford. The shoes are the same. Shoes fit for running, and for surviving different types of ground. Jogging pants or sweat pants are the things that he's usually wearing, or shorts made of the same fabric as his jogging pants [Like K-Way pants. Those slippery pants]. Basic t-shirts or wife-beater shirts would be his wardrobe of shirts, apart from the few dress shirts he has to be at formal events. Myles owns two coats, one made of a thick cotton fabric for the winter months, and another made of the same slippery fabric as his pants [Like a rain jacket].
Two dog tags on a chain necklace always go with Myles in everything he does. One was given to him at birth, having his basic information on it. The other was from spending so much time at the training center. One of the trainers gave him one with "Never Give Up" in Latin on it. A chain bracelet, passed down through his family, is the only other accessory he has.
♆//.Beyond The Horizon.\\♆
Want the long version, or the simple, to the point summary? Alright, fine, here we go. Myles thinks he has one true purpose in life. Nothing big. Not to save the world, or end the Capitol's reign. Nope. The only think he thinks would be good in his life would be to participate in the Games. All his life, all he did was train. As soon as he could lift 10 pounds without falling, he hit the gym each day, perfecting his build and skills. But he wasn't one of those arrogant ones who was obsessed with his build. Not at all.[/size][/blockquote]
Through his teenage years, Myles was one of the popular kids. He impressed the ladies, and had repsect from the other boys. He was outgoing, and often went out of his way to include others in his activities. He was a socialite, that's for sure. Flirting was a strong suit too, for Mr. Leclair. When not in the gym, he had a girl hanging off his arm, chatting away about her love for him. But, despite his training life and social life taking up most of his time, he still managed to be a good student. Got the marks, kept focused in class. Everything together made Myles Kayne Leclair into the perfect man. Smart, good looking, strong, good with girls, trustworthy and quick-think.
Of course, with good comes bad. He began to get overworked, being what we call a workaholic. Everything has to be over 100%, or it shouldn't be done at all. Nobody noticed it until he started getting sick, and losing all his original charisma. He still kept his friends though, and dealt with the exhaustion. But things are never going to last when everything is perfect.
Throughout the years, his chances at being in the Games were denied, and each time, he was pushed further and further into the deep depression that claims his mind now. Medically considered that way too. Anyways, he finally turned 19, ending his eligibility in the Games forever, unless a twist worked it's way into the next Quell. That's when Myles Leclair died.
Well, not actually dying. That would make this writing pointless. However, his fun, perfect self did die. He was welcomed with open eyes into the medical disorder of Depression. It made him cold and cruel, somebody who only cared for himself, and nobody else. He no longer excelled in the social aspect of things. He was quieter, and slowly becoming a loner. He managed to hold onto the one part of him that was somewhat good, the training. It gave him a way to perfect his skills physically, and mentally. The intelligence never disappeared, neither did the speedy thoughts.
Luck must've been on his side that through all the bad, he could keep onto one good thing. After being such a people person for so long, knowing their habits would be an obvious result. And Myles kept that skill, being able to observe and analyze very well. But it was obvious he would never be the same way again.
♆//.From High-Tide to Low.\\♆
Charice Laurence and Dane Leclair were the typical couple of District 4. Dane worked on the boat belonging to Mr. Laurence, Charice's father. They met on the sea, and immediately fell in love, and then hastily decided to exchange vows of love. They got married a month after meeting, and a month later, the children started coming. Myles was the first child, followed by Drake, who was two years younger, and Beretta, the 14 year old princess of the family.[/size]
Growing up was easy for Myles, at least through infancy. He rarely needed to worry about his brother, and things went smooth. Nothing important really happened until he turned 9, and was then allowed to train in the center. He spent most of his hours of the day working out, or learning how to master a weapon. And it continued through the years of the Games. He wished to volunteer each year, but fate had it's control over things, somehow eliminating him from each years volunteering. Injuries, bans, sickness, death in the family. Everything prevented him from living out his dream.
Then he turned 19, getting rid of the chance once and for all. For the next week after that, all he did was stare off in to space in his bedroom, not saying a word. Finally, his slump was done, and he started training again. It became repetitive, his routine he could never break. It became his life, and has been since then. There is nothing in the future for him, that much is obvious. He can't use the skills. But, well, that's just the life of Myles Kayne Leclair.
