Salica Howard - District 4

Salica isn't perhaps one of the prettier girls in District 4, and she'll be the first to tell you that. But her features are far more 'interesting' than they are 'ugly'; in fact, she doesn't consider herself unattractive at all. She's an 'interesting mix of a Hippy and a Sailor' is how she would put it, seeing as her facial structure and eyes come from her Mother and her smile and hair come from her Father.

Salica has dirty blonde, armpit-length hair, and it's a bit on the thin side. She's pale as a corpse and has light green eyes. It's not because she doesn't get enough sleep, but she just has these massive bags under her eyes, which her Mother says are a family trait. Her smile is wide and she's got her Father's teeth, while her lips are full and just slightly pinker than her skin. Her cheeks are medium set and round, and she's got huge smile-lines when she grins.

Salica is 5'7 and around 135 pounds, making her slightly on the twiggy side. Her hands and feet are small, and her legs look like they go on forever! Her shoulders are slightly wide, though only she seems to notice/complain about them. And the funny thing is, her right foot is webbed, and her left foot isn't. She's always proud to show this off, but it makes it impossible to find cute sandals!

Salica wears anything that's easy to run around in and tear off if she feels the urge to go swimming. It also can't be butt-ugly, seeing as she feels like she has to 'suppliment' her 'unusual' looks with a semi-decent wardrobe. But she isn't too terribly concerned with fashion, and as long as it won't make her a laughingstock, she'll wear it. She's quite fond of denim and shorts, and denim shorts in particular.

Salica is first and foremost a fish-girl. She's a fantastic swimmer, and loves to show off, though you'll never catch her verbally boasting her abilities. She's slightly passive-agressive and 100% stubborn. She can be snarky without realizing, but she never means to be mean.

Salica hates her name. She goes by Sal, and kills anyone who tries to call her 'Sally'. She's not particularly violent, but she is known to throw a mean left straight when pissed off. She's sually pretty relaxed around other people, though, and while not the most social butterfly in the garden, she's not shy.

Salica is also quite sarcastic. She has a dry sense of humor, and can often be found poking fun at herself or her own looks before the looks of others. She's generally good-natured, and likes the comoany of others, but when she's angry, she likes to be alone to sort through things.

Born to a decently wealthy family, Salica hasn't had to get a job as of yet. Her Mother, the Hippie, named her, and she led a typical childhood. She did have a slight teasing problem in school due to her 'unique' looks and her sarcastic brand of humor, but she was never one to take teasing laying down. She quickly established in school that she wasn't one to be triffled with, and has even earned herself a few friends along the way.

She began swimming very early on; her Father being the manager of a very large fish-packing warehouse thought it only appropriate to have his four year old learn to swim. She took to water like a little fish, and can swim for hours without tiring or getting bored. But her Mother didn't think her daughter should be spening so much time in the ocean, so at the age of ten, Salica's Mother paid to have her daghter take dance lessons. Salica wasn't bad, and while she's still considered a pretty good dancer, she doesn't like it nearly as much as swimming.

As of recently, Salica's been trying to get one of the boats at the dock to take her out to do some deep-sea swimming. She knows it's dangerous, but she's tired of the coastline, and wants to know what else is out there.
