Eon Henrickson - District 5

Eon isn't particularly handsome, or particularly striking, but he is something different in contrast to the dark hair and dull eyes that are all too common in District 5. He was an anomoly; both of his parents had brunette hair and brown eyes. How did they produce a blonde-haired, green-eyed son? Eon does have his Mother's dreamy eye shape, and his Father's square-sey facial structure. He's got a solid build, and is a bit on the skinny side. He's about 5'11 inches tall and weighs something like 145 pounds. He's got big feet and big hands.

Eon hates the standard people have set for their 'career' children, and even though there arn't many careers that spring from District 5, he still keeps his hair long in a silent 'protest'. But mostly he just won't let his clumsy mother near his head with scissors. His hair is really more a dirty-blonde color, and he keeps it relatively clean, for someone who works around oil rigs and refineries. He's got a big forehead and slightly pouty lips (a trait that he fears makes him look girlie) He's also got a bit of stubble that he's quite proud of!

When not in his usual monochrome work clothes, comfort comes before style for Eon. He likes jeans, though he only has one pair, and scarves. He's almost always wearing a scarf, and is a big fan of corduroy jackets (his Grandfather passed a bunch of them down to him) But he'll basically wear anything that's comfy and easy to move in.

Eon's hands are pretty nicked up, from the machinery he works around, but he's also got huge callouses on his fingertips, from playing his guitar and viola. Additionally, he's got a huge chunk taken out of his side from when he needed to have his appendix removed as a kid, and the doctor botched the surgery. He's slightly self-conscious about it, but no more so than the fact that his real name's Pigeon.

You could call Eon sensitive, though he might smash his viola over your head if you called him that to his face. He does have a genuinely kind heart, and he is more compassionate than your average guy, it's just that he's slightly conflicted about his sensitivity. Ever since he was little, he was taught that boys arn't supposed to have girlie feelings, and this has left him slightly emotionally crippled. He doesn't know how to express his feelings verbally, and often fumbles with his words if he tries to tell anyone what he's feeling. But that's not to say he bottles his emotions up; music is his vice.

Eon is quiet and shy and stoic, meaning he really doesn't show his emotion on his face. He's not a total brick-wall, though, and really opens up to anyone he deems his friend. He'll cry if he's sufficiently sad, or he'll punch someone if he's angry enough. His laugh is loud and obnoxious, but infectious, and he's got a knack of injecting his own brand of sarcastic humor into any situation. He's a natural musician, and whatever inhabitions he has in his social life drain away when he's playing his guitar or viola (though he doesn't play his viola as much as his guitar, or in front of other people) Eon hates the polluted state his District has fallen into, and can't stand his work at the oil refinery, but he knows he has to help support his family, so he grudgingly trudges to work every morning.

Eon hates to see other people get picked on. He's protective of younger kids, even though he's an only child, he still feels obligated to protect the weak. He's quite the gentleman when it comes to the ladies; if they ever gave him a chance, that is. He's not super successful with dating, but that's only because he's so damn shy and tongue-ties around the opposite gender! He's chivalrous and the romantic-type, if not slightly introverted.

Born to Molly and Greg Henrickson, Eon's full, rean name is Pigeon McAllroy Henrickson. At a young age, little Pigeon knew he had to somehow change his name; he was getting teased for it left and right! Right around the age of 7 he decided to go by the last three letters of his name, Eon, which had been a vocabulary word he'd learned in school that week. People still teased him, but the taunts of 'Fly away to whatever freaky nest you came from, Pigeon' ceased, and he was happy for a time.

Eon's parents had been musically inclined themselves, so they introduced Eon to the Viola at the age of 8, and he picked it up right away. He bacame quite good at it, and loved to practice, but his classmates didn't think it was so great. They teased him for being 'girlie' due to his intrument choice and long hair and inclination to cry when the other kids tripped him on the playground. His dad just told him to shut up and teach those kids a lesson, and that was exactly what Eon did.

The first thing he decided to do was drop the viola. He immediately stopped playing, and started picking up guitar, which was deemed a much cooler instrument by his peers. The second thing he did was learn to throw a mean punch. He got his older cousin to teach him, and though he was never the kid who started fights, he sure as hell was the one who ended them. He got quite the reputation in school, not necessarily a bad reputation, but a reputaion none the less.

Eon's basically been free-floating since then. he doesn't really have many friends, though he has very few enemies anymore, either. He doesn't feel he needs them, but he'd like someone to befriend him, just so he didn't feel like such a loser.
